Chapter 13 - Assassin 2

Got it! I'll revise that part to maintain the mystery around Tsukasa's powers, ensuring that even the nobles and others don't know he's a Rider. Let's continue with that adjustment:

As Tsukasa and his companions ventured deeper into the heart of Dravorn, the dense fog clung to the cobblestone streets. The city was full of hidden eyes, and not all of them belonged to the city's common folk. A figure lurked in the shadows of the high towers, watching their every move.

Tsukasa, as usual, seemed indifferent to his surroundings, his hands lazily tucked into his coat pockets. Lumi and Elara, more aware of their surroundings, exchanged uneasy glances as they moved forward.

"You sure we're headed in the right direction?" Elara muttered.

Tsukasa's grin flashed briefly. "Yeah. Keep up."

The streets twisted and turned, narrow alleyways leading them through the city's underbelly. It wasn't long before they noticed that they were being followed. At first, it seemed like a random encounter, but the longer they walked, the more they realized it was deliberate.

A lone figure emerged from the shadows. Cloaked in black, his movements as fluid as a shadow, the assassin seemed almost invisible against the night. Veyra, the deadly shadow who had been tracking them since their arrival in Dravorn, stepped forward with a calculated grace.

"You don't belong here," Veyra said, his voice cold and clipped. "I've been ordered to eliminate you. A foreign power like yours... it can't be allowed to spread."

Tsukasa stopped in his tracks, his posture relaxed. "Orders, huh? That's cute." His voice was casual, the calm before the storm, a stark contrast to the tension that hung in the air.

Veyra didn't respond. With a flick of his wrist, twin daggers appeared in his hands, their tips gleaming in the pale moonlight. In one fluid motion, he lunged at Tsukasa, the blades slicing through the air with lethal precision.

But Tsukasa moved like the wind. In the blink of an eye, he sidestepped, his body almost flowing with the ease of someone who wasn't even trying. Veyra's daggers missed their mark entirely. Tsukasa didn't even break a sweat as he spun around, grabbing the assassin's wrist and throwing him into the ground with little effort.

"Really? This is the best Dravorn has to offer?" Tsukasa muttered, his tone almost bored. "You should have known better."

Veyra sprang to his feet, undeterred by the fall. The assassin's movements were quick, precise, and deadly, but Tsukasa's responses were faster. He blocked a series of rapid strikes with minimal effort, every motion calculated and deliberate. It was clear that Tsukasa wasn't even fully engaged in the fight.

"You're fast, I'll give you that," Tsukasa said as he dodged yet another strike. "But you're just not fast enough."

Tsukasa snapped his fingers, and with a smooth motion, his Decadriver appeared in his hand. Without a word, he activated it.

"Henshin."

The transformation was swift, his armor materializing around him with a burst of energy. But it wasn't flashy—there were no special effects or mystical runes. It was clean, simple, and efficient. A typical Rider transformation, nothing more.

Veyra hesitated for a split second, not entirely sure what was happening, but the assassin didn't let up. He lunged again, his daggers flashing in the moonlight.

But Tsukasa was already moving. He blocked both blades with a single swift motion, his arm angled just enough to deflect them. The impact sent a shockwave through the air. Veyra staggered, surprised at the sheer power of the Rider's defense.

"Is that all you've got?" Tsukasa taunted, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "Come on, give me a real challenge."

With one decisive move, Tsukasa grabbed Veyra by the wrist and flipped him over his shoulder, sending the assassin crashing into the stone ground.

Veyra tried to rise, but Tsukasa was already standing over him, his foot planted firmly on the assassin's chest. "You're not really my type of opponent," Tsukasa said. "But, hey, you gave it a shot."

Lumi and Elara watched from a safe distance, both awestruck by how effortlessly Tsukasa handled the assassin. The power he wielded was undeniable, but neither of them could quite grasp what it was. Even they, having fought by his side for so long, were still uncertain about the true nature of Tsukasa's strength.

Veyra grimaced, glaring up at Tsukasa with hatred. "You may have won this time,... but mark my words. I will be back."

Tsukasa tilted his head, unfazed. "Sure. Whatever."

With a dismissive wave, Tsukasa turned and walked away, his companions following closely behind. Veyra lay on the ground for a moment, seething with rage.
