Chapter 15 - Assassin 4

The fight raged in the heart of Dravorn, with the city's grand plaza turning into a battleground. Tsukasa, in his Kamen Rider Wizard form, was a whirlwind of destruction. But as the dust settled, a heavier silence began to fall.

From his vantage point high above, Lord Vaelric Drenmor watched intently, his sharp eyes narrowing as Tsukasa continued to overwhelm his hired mercenaries.

"This is intolerable," Vaelric muttered, pacing in frustration. " power is unlike anything I've encountered. We can't allow him to roam free."

Turning to Veyra, his most trusted assassin, Vaelric's voice was laced with venom.

"Tonight, we end him. You've seen his power; it must be removed before he becomes a true threat to my ambitions. I trust you know what to do."

Veyra's eyes glimmered with cold resolve.

"Of course, my lord. It shall be done."

Meanwhile, down in the plaza, Tsukasa was effortlessly dispatching foes with a flurry of fire and lightning. The mercenaries crumpled before him, but he wasn't even breaking a sweat.

Lumi and Elara, watching him with a mixture of admiration and disbelief, fought alongside him, but their focus was more on Tsukasa's fluid movements, his calm demeanor in the face of overwhelming odds.

Elara blinked. "It's like he's toying with them…" she murmured, watching the mysterious guy casually send a group of attackers flying with a single motion.

Lumi glanced at her. "I think he's barely trying. That power... it's something else. Whatever it is, it's beyond anything we've ever seen."

Tsukasa didn't seem to notice their conversation. He stepped over the bodies of the defeated mercenaries, his voice relaxed.

"You know, this is getting kind of dull. Should I speed it up?" he muttered, almost to himself.

Before anyone could answer, there was a shift in the air. A presence — cold, calculating — appeared at the edge of the square.

Veyra.

The assassin, draped in shadow, moved like a ghost, slipping through the fighting with lethal grace. Her daggers glinted under the pale moonlight as she appeared in front of Tsukasa in an instant, her expression icy and unyielding.

"Your end is here," Veyra hissed, her voice barely above a whisper.

Tsukasa stopped in his tracks, tilting his head slightly.

"You're persistent," he said, his tone almost bored. "You really want to keep doing this?"

Veyra didn't answer. She lunged, her twin daggers flashing in the dim light.

Tsukasa didn't move an inch. His hand flashed out, catching both blades mid-air with his bare hands, effortlessly stopping the attack.

"That's cute," Tsukasa said with a smirk, his grip tightening. He twisted her blades away, sending them clattering to the ground.

Veyra, undeterred, spun to strike with her elbows and knees, attacking with the precision of a master.

But Tsukasa was already gone.

He reappeared behind her in the blink of an eye.

"Missed," he remarked casually.

With a swift motion, he kicked her legs out from under her, sending her crashing to the cobblestone ground.

Veyra glared up at him, her fury palpable, but there was a flicker of hesitation in her eyes.

"Why… why don't you just finish it?" she spat.

Tsukasa raised an eyebrow, stepping closer.

"Because I'm bored. And you're really not worth the effort. Besides, if I kill you, I'll miss the fun later." He grinned. "Don't worry, though. You'll live. For now."

Seris, still hidden in the crowd of onlookers, watched in stunned silence. She had seen magic before, but not like this. Tsukasa didn't just use spells — he bent the very laws of magic to his will. Four elements at once, without a single chant. Her heart raced as she watched the mysterious guy powers unfold in front of her.

Her gaze shifted between Tsukasa and the assassin, her awe slowly giving way to suspicion.

What kind of being is this?

Elsewhere, high above the plaza, in the shadow of a towering balcony, Lord Vaelric Drenmor observed the scene unfolding below.

His lips curled into a cruel smile.

"You see, Veyra? That guy may be strong, but every man has a weakness. His arrogance. His overconfidence. It will be his undoing."

Vaelric's eyes glinted with malice.

"Let the game continue."

Back on the plaza floor, Veyra slowly regained her footing, still glaring at Tsukasa.

"You're nothing but a man who hides behind magic. You're not even worth my time."

Tsukasa chuckled.

"You know, I'm starting to get bored with you. But I'll let you go. For now. I'll be waiting when you decide to come back with something more interesting."

With that, Tsukasa turned away, walking toward Lumi and Elara, leaving Veyra to stew in her defeat.

But before he could get far, Seris — still watching from the crowd — stepped forward, her voice trembling with a mix of awe and fear.

"Wait… you... you can use magic without chanting? How do you do that?" She asked, her voice breaking the tense silence. "How do you wield four elements at once?"

Tsukasa stopped, his back still turned to her.

"You've got a lot of questions for someone who's not in the fight," he said nonchalantly. He glanced over his shoulder. "But if you're still curious… maybe I'll tell you. Someday. But for now…" He shrugged. "I've got things to do."

The wind carried the lingering whispers of those who had witnessed the strange and powerful . And somewhere in the shadows, Lord Vaelric Drenmor's lips twisted into a smile.

"So the mysterious guy can use magic. Interesting. But you are far from invincible, my friend. Your time will come."
