~Sabrina's POV
I had no answer. My body was trembling, my legs aching from the endless running. I had tried everything—working multiple jobs, selling my belongings, even begging—but it was never enough. The debt only grew, and so did their threats.
I had been prepared for the worst that night, thinking it was over me.
And then, he appeared. He appear like a knight in a fucking armour.
Alex stepped out of the shadows like he had been waiting for the perfect moment. He wasn't alone—two men flanked him, their presence just as intimidating as the cold, dangerous smirk on his lips.
"What's going on here?" he asked, his voice smooth but laced with authority. Looking from the loan sharks to me and I jolted from his cold gaze.
The loan sharks hesitated, their confidence wavering for the first time. They recognized him. Everyone did. He wasn't just some rich man, he was someone you didn't want to cross. Because he's Alex. Just the mention of his name was enough.
