~Sabrina's POV
Alex led me out of the dimly lit alley toward a sleek, black car parked by the curb. It was the kind of car that screamed wealth, the kind that had no place in my world. He opened the passenger door for me, his eyes never leaving mine.
"Get in."
I slid into the seat, the smooth leather cool against my skin. He shut the door, then walked around to the driver's side, slipping in effortlessly. The car roared to life with a deep purr, and he pulled away from the curb.
Silence settled between us, heavy and expectant. My fingers fidgeted with the hem of my dress.
"Where are we going?" I finally asked.
His smirk deepened. "Somewhere private."
I didn't argue. I just watched him, the way his hands gripped the wheel, the sharp cut of his jaw under the streetlights. He was beautiful, tall, broad-shouldered, with dark, piercing eyes that seemed to see right through me.
Before I knew it, we pulled into an underground parking lot. Alex killed the engine and turned to me.
