I stormed back into my room, slamming the door so hard the walls trembled. My chest rose and fell with angry, uneven breaths. My hands clenched into fists, nails digging into my palms.
How dare he?
Alex had never resisted me. Never. No matter how drunk, how angry, how frustrated he was, he always let me in. He always pulled me into his bed like I belonged there. But tonight… tonight he had chased me out like I was nothing. Like I disgusted him. And he did that the last I was in his room too.
My stomach twisted at the thought.
Had he found another woman?
The idea alone made my blood boil. My hands clenched into fists as my breathing grew ragged. The walls of the room felt like they were closing in on me, suffocating me with my own rage. I needed to release it. I needed to destroy something.
