Hello, my name is shadow, and this story begins in a shed in the middle of a junkyard that is full of old car parts and old things. I live here with my boyfriend Damion but because he is blind most of the work is on me, together we create art to sell to a rich guy called Jackson that comes to the junkyard every month. Jackson is tall and in his mid-thirties with long black hair he gives off a bit of a creepy vibe, but we get money from him, so I don't care. But this month instead of Jackson a different man came who I thought was up to something so told Damion hide, because I didn't want Damion to get hurt if anything happens.
I went out to see what the man wanted. I had grabbed a metal pipe on my way out that I hid behind my back just in case he did something, and I needed to protect myself. I walked over and I shouted across the yard '' what is your business around here.'' He replied '' I am here to pick up two young people to go to my bosses house you might actually know him.'' Knowing that Jackson has invited us to his house before but I thought just in case he wasn't who he says he is I said to him '' what does your boss look like '' the man looked around and said '' He is on the shorter side and has short blond hair and he is in his mid-twenties''. After saying that he gave me a creepy smile. I took the metal pipe from behind me and pointed it at him and told the guy ''get out of here we have no business with you leave this place at once '' because my first instinct was to protect Damion, but as I said that I saw 2 guards coming towards me so I started to run back to the shed with the guard behind.
When I got in the shed, I grabbed the emergency bag that we had by the back door and went to the place Damion was hiding. I grabbed his hand and told him as we ran out the hidden back door '' I know you don't know what is going on right now, but we need to leave '' as we were running, I told Damion all the stuff that happened.
We ran for hours and ended up at an old, abandoned building that look like it had been like that for a while. I looked around to see if there was a way in like a broken window or an unlocked door that we can go through. Suddenly I heard a loud sound coming from the dumpsters at the back. I told Damion to wait at the front and I would go see what the noise was. I looked around for something to protect myself and found a wrench. I began to walk towards the dumpsters and heard more rustling when.
I got to the dumpster, and I found someone looking through it. I called out ''who are you and what are you doing here you look like a child? '' the person said back in an angry tone '' a child I am 19 years old and why I am here is none of your business" I asked the person how to get in to the building and they replied with ''well there is a window broken at the top but there is no way for you to get up there and you should probably get your friend there because it is dangerous on these streets'' after the person replied I went to get Damion when we came back I said to the person '' it is getting very late do you know some where to stay'' the person said '' I think should know your names before giving that information as I might be able to help you ''. I looked at Damion saying " my name is shadow and this is my boyfriend Damion he is blind so won't be able to see you I am so sorry that I didn't introduce sooner '' after introducing ourselves the person said '' ok then I will help you but I don't trust you… my name is arrow and I might know a place that is not far that we can stay the night in.
Arrow started walking down the street and told us to follow. So, I held Damion's hand and started to follow. we were walking for about 30 minutes, but it felt like a long time at this point I was starting to get tired. A few minutes later we found ourselves at an old shed that looked like it had been there for years, but it seemed sturdy considering how old it looks. We walked in and the first thing we saw was two small mattresses on the floor. Arrow turned around and said '' one of these are mine so you will have to share the other '' after arrow said that I said to Damion that he can take the bed and I will sleep on the floor he agreed, and we all fell asleep very quickly. but in the middle of the night, I woke up to hear the sound of people running and shouting saying to found them they have to be around here somewhere I recognized the persons voice to be the man that was chasing us I quietly went over to arrow and woke them up as arrow woke up he said loudly '' what do you want '' I quickly ran and covered their mouth with my hand. I whispered '' what are you doing be quiet the people that were chasing us are right outside and are looking for us, but I don't know what to do '' arrow told me to go wake up Damion and we will figure out what to do after I walk over to the bed that Damion is sleeping in. I woke him up and we both walked over to arrow that is now standing by the door.
I asked arrow, "what do we do now the only way out is that door, but they are right behind it'' with a very worried look on my face. Arrow walked over to me and put their hand on my shoulder and said, "everything is going to be ok I think I have come up with an idea.
As arrow said that they walked to the table and sat then started to tell us the plan ''so I will get their attention then you guys run and hide in the alleyway round the corner. I will make my way there after you are hidden but you need to stay quiet. What do you think of the plan?'' after arrow said that with so much confidents made me feel like there is hope in their plan so I replied with ''that is an amazing plan, but you will need to get their attention for a little while coz Damion can't run fast.'' Damion looked up and said '' I will try and keep up, but I can't find my shoes'' I know that Damion can't see me, but I face palmed, and arrow giggled. Then I walked over to Damion and asked him where he thought he had put them so that I could start to help him.
I looked around and saw his shoes were poking out from under the bed. When I went to grab the shoes, I saw a small box so while Arrow and Damion are talking, I grabbed it and put it in my pocket and stud up then went over to where Damion and arrow were standing I gave Damion his shoes and told him to put them on as quickly as he could to get ready for the plan
When everything was ready, and we had everything arrow looked at both of us and counted down from 3 "3...2..1 GO."
