Rika's father made the decision on the spot—they were moving into Tona Brothers Residency. The paperwork was done within the same day, and they had officially found their new home in Tokyo.
As they were wrapping up the discussion, Kenji suddenly clapped his hands.
"Well then, since you're new here, why don't you join us for dinner at my place tonight? You'll get to meet the rest of the family!"
Rika's father, being the polite man he was, nodded immediately."That sounds great! We'd love to."
Rika, however, mentally screamed.
"NO, NO, NO. I AM NOT DOING THIS. NOT TONIGHT. NOT WITH SHUN."
Before she could protest, Kenji looked at her. "That includes you, Rika-chan."
"I… um… I have to unpack!" She blurted out.
Kenji chuckled. "Unpacking can wait. You should come—"
"Nope! Unpacking is VERY important. Super important. I might even be too busy to eat tonight."
Her father gave her a stern look."Don't be rude. We've been invited—"
"Dad, please. Let me sit this one out."
After some hesitation, her father sighed. "Alright. But don't stay up too late."
Rika internally cheered.Crisis avoided.
Meanwhile, At Dinner...
At Kenji's apartment, the dinner table was lively. Shun sat beside Renji, lazily poking his food.
"So, how does it feel to be back home?" Kenji asked Shun.
Shun shrugged. "It's normal, I guess."
Akito, sitting across from him, smirked. "Hey, guess what? A new family moved in today. And guess who showed them around?"
Kenji laughed. "Me, of course."
Akito nodded. "Yeah, but here's the fun part—one of them knew you, Shun."
Shun raised an eyebrow. "Knew me?"
Akito leaned in, grinning mischievously."A girl. Short-haired. Looked kinda shocked when I said your name."
Shun blinked. "Wait… short-haired?"
Kenji casually added, "Oh yeah, she was acting all weird when she heard Shun's name. It was kinda funny."
Renji smirked. "Wait, wait—so you're telling me some girl, who just moved into our society, already knows Shun? Sounds suspicious."
Akito raised an eyebrow. "She said she 'just heard his name before.' But honestly, she looked like she was hiding something."
Shun scratched the back of his head. "...Don't tell me it's—"
Kenji interrupted, "Oh, right! Her name was Rika!"
The room went silent.
Shun: "...You're joking."
Kenji laughed. "Nope. That's her name. Rika Aizawa, right?"
Shun froze.
Renji leaned forward. "Wait, wait—Rika? As in the girl from the tournament? The one who kept passing to you?"
Shun sighed. "Yeah, that Rika."
Akito looked between them, confused. "Okay, someone explain. Who is this girl?"
Kenji smirked. "Well, well, looks like fate is playing tricks on you, Shun."
Shun groaned. "Just my luck."
Back at Rika's Apartment...
Rika sat on her bed, staring at the ceiling.
"I moved to Tokyo, and the first thing that happens is I land in Shun's neighborhood?"
She sighed, rolling onto her side.
"I hope I don't run into him too often."
