After all the chaos at dinner, Shun thought he was finally free. But just as he was about to sneak away to his room, Kenji called him out.
"Oi, Shun! Take this food to the Aizawa family."
Shun, who had just picked up his glass of water, almost spit it out.
"Hah? Why me?"
Kenji shrugged. "They didn't come for dinner, so we're sending some food over. And since you're free—"
"I am NOT free."
Kenji smirked. "Oh? You have something important to do?"
Shun crossed his arms. "Yes. Sleeping."
Renji leaned in. "Come on, man. It's just food. What, are you scared of Rika or something?"
Shun clicked his tongue."No. I just don't want to deal with unnecessary trouble."
Kenji sighed dramatically. "Guess I'll have to go myself then. Ah, my poor old back. Carrying all these containers… walking all the way there…"
Shun rolled his eyes. "Fine. I'll go."
Kenji immediately handed him the bag. "Good boy."
Shun grabbed it, glaring at him. "Tch. This better not become a habit."
At the Aizawa Apartment
Standing in front of the door, Shun hesitated.
"Why am I even doing this?"
He knocked twice.
Silence.
He knocked again.
This time, he heard footsteps. The door swung open, revealing Rika.
Shun blinked. "...Yo."
Rika stared. "...What are you doing here?"
Shun lifted the food bag. "Delivering this. Courtesy of my uncle."
Rika didn't move. "Why you?"
Shun sighed. "Believe me, I didn't want to come either."
Rika crossed her arms. "Then why did you?"
Shun hesitated. "Because I had no choice."
Rika smirked. "So you're weak to pressure?"
Shun raised an eyebrow."Says the girl who cuts her hair because she lost."
Rika's smirk disappeared.
"You—" She stopped herself and groaned. "Whatever. Just give me the food."
Shun held it out. But when Rika grabbed it—
"Ow—"
The container was hot.
Rika jerked her hand back, and in that moment, the container almost slipped.
Without thinking, Shun caught it with his other hand.
Rika sighed. "Nice reflexes."
Shun smirked. "Better than your passes?"
Rika rolled her eyes. "You just can't stop talking, can you?"
Shun handed her the bag again—carefully this time.
Rika muttered, "Thanks."
Shun was about to leave, but Rika suddenly spoke.
"Hey, wait."
Shun turned. "What?"
Rika hesitated for a second. "Never mind."
Shun raised an eyebrow but didn't press further. "Alright. Later."
And with that, he left.
Back at Shun's Apartment
As soon as he stepped inside, Renji smirked. "So? How was it?"
Shun ignored him and went straight to his room.
Kenji laughed. "Looks like it went well!"
Shun slammed his door shut.
"I swear, if they make me do this again, I'm moving out."
