Two months had passed. The two families decided to hold a naming ceremony for their little princess. Each family member suggested a special name, hoping theirs would be chosen.
Everyone, including the youngest, took on a specific task to help with the preparations. The elder members of the family selected a date and planned to shower the baby with gifts. While they were deep in discussion, two cars approached the estate and stopped at the gate.
Two men stepped out and walked into the hallway. "Hello, everyone," they greeted, heading straight toward Mr. and Mrs. Daisen, offering apologies for their delayed arrival.
Mrs. Daisen scoffed slightly, a subtle curve forming on her lips as she remarked, "Ohh, so I do have two sons—sons who didn't even realize they had a niece until now."
Turning to her husband with a hint of sarcasm, she added, "Aren't my two sons just the best in the world?"
"Mom, we're sorry," John replied, glancing at his older brother Beck for support. "You know that Father submitted his early retirement and handed over full control of the business to us. There really wasn't much we could do."
Beck stepped forward, lifting his eyes as he added, "Mom, look—as a sign of our regret, not only have we shown up today, but we've also brought lots of gifts for our niece. Of course, since it's our first visit, we made sure to bring a little extra."
Beck and John are Mr. and Mrs. Daisen's sons. Kylie's elder brother Beck oversees the D&D firm in the nation of Sylvanor, while her younger brother John, helps manage the company in the neighboring nation of Arandor.
Smiling warmly at his sister, Beck asked, "Kylie, where is my little niece? Can I hold her?"
Kylie raised an eyebrow and teased, "So you're saying you came here only to see your niece? What, did you forget you had a sister too?"
Beck chuckled and replied, "Who said I forgot my little sister? I was just curious to see what my gorgeous sister's daughter looks like."
Noticing Beck trying to pacify Kylie, John turned to Andrew for backup. Andrew looked at the brothers, then turned to his wife.
"Sweetheart, that's enough," he said gently. "Weren't you worried they weren't showing any interest in their niece? Now that they're here, shouldn't we give them the chance to meet her? They know they made a mistake—there's no need to keep punishing them."
Kylie, conceding to her husband's words, stood up and went to the nursery to bring her daughter so her brothers could meet her.
The boys, along with their mother and Kylie, immediately rushed forward when they realized their uncles had arrived. After greeting their uncles, they remained protectively by their sister's side.
Jack looked up at his uncles and said seriously, "Uncle Beck, Uncle John? You both didn't even think about our baby sister, did you? You came way too late to see her."
Amused by the little one's accusation, Beck and Jaohn exchanged a glance and laughed. John replied, "No, Jack—it's not like that. We were just running a little late. But we're here now, aren't we? And we brought lots of gifts just for you guys."
Kylie laughed at her son and brother's conversation and asked her older brother, "Where's my sister-in-law, brother? Didn't she come with you?"
Before Beck could respond, Mrs. Daisen stepped in. "She called and told me she went out shopping for her niece. She even picked the venue for the naming ceremony."
Upon hearing this, Kylie nodded at her mother and turned back to Beck and said, "My dear elder brother, take good care of your niece, alright?"
Beck grinned with pride. "Would you even need to tell me that? I'll take care of her like she's my little honey. Don't worry." With a wave of his hand, he motioned for Kylie to go about her duties.
