Chapter 6 - After Five Years

Following the evening's festivities, news of the top aristocratic families' grandchild's naming ceremony was broadcast across all major news channels. Due to the stir it created in society, both families chose to reveal only limited information. The official statement read:

"Two months ago, we welcomed a new member into our families. The first granddaughter of the Adam and Daisen families has been born."

With that, the press meeting was concluded. Neither family disclosed further details about the child. Her name remained a secret from the public.

The announcement triggered a wave of interest across the capital. Several minor families rushed to the Adam family mansion to extend their congratulations and, more importantly, to try and establish a connection with the influential household.

What they didn't anticipate, however, was the tight security around the Adam estate. Entry into the neighborhood required strict authorization.

Living in a gated community, the Adam family ensured that no one could come or go without permission. As a result, those hoping to forge ties with the family were disappointed. With no access granted, they had no choice but to return home, their efforts in vain.

.......

Five Years Later

No one in the family could quite believe how quickly time had flown. Zara, the cherished child of the Adam and Daisen families, had been homeschooled from the age of three and would continue to be until she turned five.

Homeschooling had been suggested early on due to Zara's precocious development. She began speaking fluently at a very young age, and her parents preferred not to leave her alone when they were at work.

Zara's education was overseen by the renowned academic, Professor Darren Williams. Known for never accepting private home tutoring roles—regardless of payment—he made an exception for Zara only because of his longstanding friendship with Mathew and Max.

Another reason behind his decision was Zara herself. Her exceptional learning ability stunned him. Zara never hesitated to ask questions and scored perfectly on every assessment he gave her.

Eventually, Professor Darren made a firm declaration:"I will be the one teaching her from now on—no exceptions. No substitute tutors. She is my student, and I will personally see to it that she becomes the best she can be."

He concluded resolutely, making it clear that the family's only option was to continue letting him guide Zara's education.

Now that Zara was five, her parents began to consider her next steps. Despite her young age, Zara displayed maturity well beyond her years. Kylie and Andrew were curious about how she felt regarding the idea of going to school.

"Sweetheart," Kylie asked gently, "how would you feel about going to school and playing with kids your age? You could make new friends and have fun. We're not putting any pressure on you. It's your decision. If you'd rather continue homeschooling, we'll arrange for that. But if you want to go to kindergarten, we'll find the best school for you. Whatever you choose, we'll support you."

Just as Kylie finished, Andrew added his voice in agreement.

Zara responded thoughtfully, "Mom, Dad, Grandpa Darren said he'll introduce me to some of his friends who are experts in subjects I'm interested in. I still want to learn more from him. I think after a few years of studying with Grandpa Darren and his friends, I'll be ready to begin formal school, just like you want. Is that okay?"

Seeing the clarity and maturity in their daughter's response, Kylie and Andrew agreed to support her choice.

"All right, Lia. If that's what you want," Andrew said with a warm smile, gazing at his daughter. "You're free to choose, and we'll always support you."

Zara's four elder brothers had affectionately given her the nickname Lia, and soon the entire family began calling her by that name. Zara would remain her name for the outside world.
