Sher Dil goes into his room
and says: "No, we will not let this happen at all.
We will be the ones to become the Sultan of Iran.
For that, we will have to do something.
The jewel that has arrived is surely very precious.
We will make that very jewelry my target."
It is nighttime.
Sher Dil goes to oversee the poison as part of his duty.
That same night, a celebration is also taking place.
Shergul wears a blue dress and covers her face with a blue veil,
looking completely like a fairytale figure,
and she steps into the celebration.
Everyone is astonished to see her.
The Sultan of Iran comes to his daughter Shergul
and says:
"Today, you look just like your mother.
She was just as beautiful as you are."
Shergul replies:
"Thank you, dear father."
Just then, a commotion rises — the jewel has been stolen.
The Sultan and Shergul are shocked.
The Sultan, in anger, comes to his son Sherdil and says:
"Is this how you provided security?"
Shergul orders all the palace gates to be closed so that no one can leave.
The Sultan says:
"Sherdil, you've proven that you were never fit to be given any responsibility.
Now what will we tell the Sultan of Iran?"
Shergul asks:
"Brother, how was the jewel stolen?"
Sherdil replies:
"Someone has just stolen it—we'll have to search everyone."
Shergul says:
"If we do that, the entire crowd will be upset with us!"
Sherdil responds:
"That jewel was no ordinary thing—we must conduct a search."
The Sultan says:
"Alright."
Shergul steps forward in front of everyone and says:
"We know that what we are about to say may be difficult for you all,
but what can we do? The one who stole that precious family heirloom
is hiding among you.
That's why we must conduct a search."
Hearing this, the entire crowd starts murmuring among themselves:
"We didn't steal the jewelry!"
Shergul says:
"Silence! We are not accusing you,
but what can we do? The one who committed this disgraceful act
is hidden among you.
And we can't recognize them just by their face,
so we request you all
to let our guards search you one by one."
Then the entire crowd is searched—
but the jewelry is not found.
Shergul says to the people:
"Please forgive us for having to suspect you.
The one who stole the jewelry has escaped.
You may all return to your homes."
Then Princess Shergul goes to the Sultan and says, "Father, that jewelry was not found."
The Sultan places his hand on Sherdil's shoulder and says, "Son, now you have to find that jewelry."
Shergul starts to leave, and as she walks, a buzzing sound begins. Shergul hears the sound, gets surprised, and stops.
Sherdil says, "Sister, what kind of sound is this?"
The Sultan asks, "Shergul, what is this sound?"
Shergul replies, "Father, we don't know." She then puts her hand inside her clothes, and the jewelry comes into her hand.
The Sultan and Sherdil are astonished.
