The name of the Sultan of the Erani Sultanate is Altaf, and his wife had already passed away. Sultan Altaf has one wife (now deceased) and a son. His eldest son is named Sheer-Dil, and his younger daughter is named Sheer-Gul. Sheer-Dil hates his sister Sheer-Gul because Sultan Altaf loves Sheer-Gul more. Sheer-Gul, in turn, loves the people of Erani very much and is also a doctor. On the other hand, her brother Sheer-Dil only desires the throne and has no love for the people. He considers the public as nothing more than poor insects. But Sheer-Gul is the complete opposite. That is why Sultan Altaf thinks of making Sheer-Gul the Sultana of the Erani Sultanate, and Sheer-Dil finds out about this.
One day, a very precious piece of jewelry arrives from the Buran Sultanate. The Sultan gives the responsibility of this jewelry to Sheer-Gul. Hearing this, Sheer-Dil feels bad. Seeing Sheer-Dil upset, Sheer-Gul says, "Father, you should give this responsibility to me."
The Sultan says, "This jewelry is very important."
Sheer-Gul replies, "That is exactly why you should give this responsibility to Sheer-Dil, so that he can learn to handle responsibility in the future."
Hearing this, Sheer-Dil says, "Sister, enough. Through your words, you are clearly trying to say that you are more capable than me."
Sheer-Gul replies, "No, brother, I didn't mean that."
Sheer-Dil leaves from there. The Sultan then says to Sheer-Gul, "That is why I am giving you this responsibility."
Sheer-Gul says, "Father, put yourself in my brother's place and think — you suddenly told him that I will become the ruler of this Sultanate. Of course, he will feel hurt, because becoming the Sultan of this Sultanate is his dream. It's another matter that you lied, because he is actually the one who will become the Sultan — but he doesn't know that. That's why he is feeling hurt."
The Sultan says, "You are right. I will give this responsibility to Sheer-Dil."
