Chapter 1 - The Fourth

The bell rang, indicating lunch break. Students packed up their belongings as they began walking out in a very disciplined manner.

Calm and silent.

Except for two disgusting laughs echoing throughout the class.

One sounded similar to a constantly squeaking squirrel, while the other sounded like a coughing pig.

Coming from the last row as usual.

Two scrawny guys were pouring water on the head of another male student as they laughed heartily.

'Not this again...'

The other students barely glanced at them before turning away. They all wore the same red uniform shirts and white pants. Most had a furious expression but were powerless to intervene.

This was an everyday event.

The Lewen Academy was known for its discipline, as well as the never-ending conflicts that happened between the students.

After all, it was an academy for the 'abnormals'.

For those with abnormal abilities.

And I somehow ended up here.

It was on a rainy day when I was suddenly struck by lightning and died.

I thought I'd go to heaven, which was definitely not this place.

If anything, it could only be described as hell.

The world of "Abnormal Awakening," a popular fantasy novel that I despised, yet still caught up with the ongoing release of chapters.

I was a very picky reader who also had a habit of completing everything I read, no matter if it's good or absolute dogshit.

And now I hate my entire self for that.

On my first day here, I was forced by my parents into joining the Lewen Academy. The exact place where the main story was happening.

I was yet again reminded of the horrible things that happen in this academy. There was a point when everyone had their right arm severed, except for the main cast and the bully gang.

I mean, what kind of academy would let this happen?

I couldn't even blame the author for this.

It was my fault for reading such poorly written novels.

At that time, I was fed up.

Why was the bully gang getting away from every single trouble? Only for them to come back and torment the main cast. I could understand the main cast being safe. But why the bullies?

Was it purposely done by the author for further plot progression?

Now that I think about it, this knowledge came in handy when I needed it.

Three months have passed since I enrolled here. All this time, I had been constantly improving my strength in secret. Not only to save myself, but also the other students from the impending calamities.

For that, I needed to pick a side.

And I did.

"Ahahahahahaha"

I couldn't help but laugh out loud as I poured the bottle of water on Shin Dewon.

This guy was acting too cocky in the earlier days because he scored higher marks than us.

And what happened now?

I held his marksheet in my other hand to prevent it from getting wet.

On the marksheet was a big "D" marked in red.

"Where did your confidence go now, huh?" asked Mark the Third, who stood beside me. He was my fellow gang member, my senior according to the bully ranks.

Still, seniority didn't mean more power. Poor guy had to learn this the hard way after getting beaten up by me.

From then on, he started following my path. Doing everything I do, even I was impressed by how much he could behave like me. Not even my hairstyle was spared.

Right now, Mark was holding two marksheets high in the air, making sure everyone could see them.

One of them had a big "D+" and the other a big "C"

"What happened now, nerd? Guess who got the higher marks?"

Yeah, we surpassed him.

To be exact, I scored a C, and Mark got a D+.

"Us. Mark the Third and Han the Fourth. Call us daddy from now on." Mark was getting so excited, his eyes were practically twinkling.

There were some rules implemented by our boss here.

It included this–

Anyone who scores lower marks than us has to call us daddy.

I've never seen or experienced bullying.

But seeing the expression on Shin made me realise something.

This was fun.
