While the students were walking out, there was one person who stood in the front row, watching us carefully as if waiting for something.
For a moment, our eyes met.
My fists clenched, and my teeth ground together.
Who does she think she is?
The girl had shiny black hair that was tied in a ponytail, with a thin strand left loose to frame her forehead. But what stood out the most were her silver eyes that looked like jewels made of platinum.
For some minutes, we glared at each other as if there was a staring contest going on.
Before I got interrupted.
"Han, the boss is looking for you." Said Basil the Fifth, blocking me.
Ugh…
I glared at the girl one last time before reluctantly following Basil.
The First year of the Lewen Academy was divided into three classes.
A, B and C.
This was not based on their strength, but on their overall academic prowess. A being the top and C being the bottom.
The main cast was obviously from class A. While most of the bully gang were present in class B.
As for me, I was unfortunately placed in class A.
As the three of us walked through the corridor, students shifted away from us, making sure they weren't blocking us.
I couldn't help but smile.
It was as if I suddenly received a QoL update after joining the bully gang.
The corridor was huge, having enough space for a car to move freely. As expected of the No. 1 Abnormal Academy.
The more we walked, the louder we heard an absurd song playing.
Soon enough, we reached section B, where the boss was present.
"Ahhh… Chilly billy bean spotted a grizzly bear in green…"
What in the world were these lyrics…?
The song was coming from a guy sitting on the floor beside the boss.
In the front was another guy performing a belly dance, matching his steps to the absurd song.
Truly a talented person.
The guy dancing stood right before the boss, preventing us from getting a clearer view of him.
As if sensing our presence, the boss raised a hand, ending the song and dance abruptly.
The three of us lowered our heads, not daring to look directly at the boss.
"Han…" He addressed me calmly.
"Yes, boss."
"…I heard two of your classmates scored lower marks than you and Mark."
"Yes."
"Did you punish them both?"
"Um… I did punish one of them"
Shit. This was not going the way I wanted.
"Why not the other?"
Of course, I couldn't punish her.
How was I supposed to answer?
That I didn't punish her because she's one of the main cast?
For all these months, I made sure to keep the bully gang in check, making sure they weren't targeting the main cast.
Because I knew that as long as we don't trouble them, they won't trouble us.
But that girl…
Nesrine.
She scored a D+, the same as Mark and lower than me.
Thinking of her expression made my blood boil.
She was provoking me. On purpose.
In the original story, she was one of the top students. A major support.
She was supposed to be the last person to score such low marks.
Yet why?
Why did this happen?
It was definitely done on purpose.
Seeing me unable to answer, Kevin the First smirked.
"Hehehe… Did our boy Han fall in love?"
Because my head was hung low, I couldn't see the expression on his face. But I somehow knew that it was a cocky smile.
If only the boss were not present.
I'd have beaten that fucker until he called me daddy.
"Uh…"
Now, the main issue here was my answer.
Should I just say yes, or should I punish Nesrine?
I could also lie to them that I've punished her, but then they'd seek proof.
The bully gang was my safety haven.
I couldn't just risk it because of some girl's provocation.
"…maybe"
I replied after much contemplation.
"What!?"
The whole class went silent. A chill ran down my spine as I felt all of their gazes.
This was a risky answer. If it somehow pisses them off, they'd punish her on my behalf, which I definitely was against.
Even Mark the Third was in utter disbelief.
It was only the boss who managed to stay unbothered.
"No fucking way!" Kevin exclaimed before bursting out in laughter.
I clenched my fist.
Laugh all you want before I turn you into a pulp.
"Alright, leave," said the boss in a heavy tone.
"Everyone except Han"
