Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: The Trial of the Phoenix Court

Location: Beyond Space – The Astral Throneworld

Even legends face judgment.

Though Harry had walked into the Veil of Stars—leaving behind Camelot, Hogwarts, and the Multiverse he'd protected—his actions, power, and sacrifices continued to ripple across all realities.

When a god dies in one universe, it is felt in others.

When a Guardian reshapes fate, even the Cosmic Forces take notice.

And so, the Phoenix Court was summoned.

Not by mortals.

Not by gods.

But by Eternity itself.

The Phoenix Court

The Court had not met since before time had names.

Seated in a great ring of light and memory, stood beings from the farthest edges of existence:

Eternity, the embodiment of the cosmos.

Infinity, sister of space and silence.

Death, cloaked in stars, smiling gently.

The Living Tribunal, three-faced arbiter of balance.

The Spectre, judge of divine wrath.

The One Above All, veiled in radiant silence.

And, in the center, Jean Grey, reborn as the Phoenix Queen.

But today, they sat not as rulers… but as judges.

"We are gathered to determine," Eternity intoned, "if the Guardian-King has become too powerful to be trusted with eternity."

A ripple of shock spread through the realms.

Had Harry gone too far? Had he tampered with too much?

Godhood. Multiverse protection. The slaying of the Eternal Nemesis. The rewriting of Hogwarts, Olympus, and time itself.

Even legends must answer.

Harry's Return

From the Veil, Harry Potter appeared.

He did not wear armor.

No crown. No sword.

Just robes woven from stardust and memory, and eyes that had seen the beginning and end more times than he could count.

He stepped into the ring.

"I have nothing to hide."

The Tribunal's voice echoed: "Then answer. Do you still consider yourself… human?"

Harry looked at his hands.

He remembered holding Hedwig. Touching Sirius's face after Azkaban. Holding Hermione's hand in the library. Saving Draco in the Room of Requirement.

"Yes," he said. "I bleed. I love. I remember. I hope."

Death tilted her head. "Would you surrender your power?"

"No," Harry said. "Because my power is not mine. It is the trust others gave me."

Jean spoke softly, fire flickering behind her eyes. "And if we deem you unworthy?"

Harry smiled sadly. "Then I'll accept that. But know this: I never sought power. I only ever wanted to protect the children who came after me."

The Court went silent.

Until The One Above All rose.

He—She—They—spoke not in words, but in truth.

"He is not dangerous because he is powerful.

He is dangerous because he inspires others to become more than they are.

And that is exactly what we need."

The Tribunal bowed. Death nodded once.

And Eternity proclaimed:

"Let the Guardian-King be judged worthy. Let him stand not above… but beside us."

The Fire Given Form

As the Court dissolved, Jean approached Harry.

"You were always meant for this."

Harry chuckled. "I still don't know how to iron a shirt without magic."

Jean laughed, and the Phoenix flared behind her.

"Then teach the next you how. Because a new fire is rising. And it carries your blood."

Harry's eyes widened.

"Liana…?"

But Jean said nothing more.

Only smiled.

And vanished.

A New Purpose

Harry returned not to Camelot—but to New Earth, where a new Hogwarts now floated above the sky, guided by a Headmistress named Liana Potter-Romanova.

She had his eyes.

And her mother's will.

And as she stood beneath the stars, wand drawn, leading the next class of students into the unknown…

Harry watched, silent and proud.

"Let the next trial come," he whispered.

"My legacy is ready."
