"My, what a polite and well-mannered child. As expected of a former saint of the Church."
Watching Asia and Koneko gradually walk away, Rias covered her red lips with one hand and smiled softly.
Asia's previous identity wasn't a secret to Rias—Vitan had informed her about it just yesterday.
"Well then, shall I take you to your office, Vitan-san? All the documents were processed yesterday, and your office has been newly prepared and renovated over the past few days."
This was a matter that concerned the dignity of the Sitri family, so she would naturally handle it to perfection.
"About that—can I be the one to guide him, Sona?"
Blocking her best friend with her hand, Rias stepped forward and positioned herself between Vitan and Sona as she spoke.
"Rias…"
Sona's brows furrowed slightly, her soft pink lips parted as if she wanted to say something, but in the end, she said nothing.
All she could do was step back and retrieve a key from the pocket over her chest, which she then handed to Rias.
"I understand. Then I'll be in charge of preparing the banquet. I'll leave the guiding to you, Rias."
The keychain twirled rhythmically around Rias' middle finger, while her other hand was tucked casually at her waist.
"Shall we go now, Vitan-san?"
This posture would normally be considered highly improper—especially for a noble lady.
However, when Rias struck it, it somehow added a playful charm to her already radiant and noble demeanor.
"You're right. It wouldn't be good to delay your classes."
Their departure naturally sparked a wave of gossip among the surrounding students.
After all, Rias Gremory—ranked number one in the school and famously indifferent to all other men—was leaving with a handsome newcomer. No matter how one looked at it, this was big news.
Only Sona remained, her eyes fixed on their retreating figures as she let out a soft sigh.
As someone who had grown up with Rias, how could she not notice her best friend's recent odd behavior?
Rias was currently in her third year of high school. Since her debut ceremony had already taken place, her wedding to Riser Phenex was scheduled for after her university graduation.
The engagement party would begin in the same year she entered college.
Normally, Rias should be panicking, trying to find a way to escape the engagement.
But ever since that debut ceremony, her best friend had not shown a hint of anxiety about it—as if all the problems had already been resolved, and she now carried herself with calm composure.
Sona suspected that Rias' plan might have something to do with the head of House Asmodeus.
But she had no idea what Rias actually intended to do.
All she could do now was offer her most heartfelt prayers for her dear friend.
...
Just like Sona had said, the normal procedure for onboarding should've involved Vitan reporting to the head teacher.
But he completely skipped that step—after all, the influence of the Sitri family rendered a mere human principal utterly powerless to resist.
"This is the newly constructed health office."
Rias brought Vitan in front of a freshly built Western-style building, its shiny paint making it obvious that it had only recently been completed—just as Sona had said.
She took out a key and opened the door.
Rias led Vitan on a full tour of the building. She was very familiar with the place, having participated in its construction herself.
"I can understand the purpose of most of these rooms, but what's this one for?"
As she pushed open a door, the room lit up with a soft pink glow. A wave of suggestive ambiance swept over them.
Inside was a circular two-person massage tub and a large round bed, both covered in vibrant rose petals.
"No matter how I look at it, this doesn't seem like something that should exist in a school's health office."
Rias didn't get up. She remained seated on the infirmary bed, hands braced behind her back, leaning forward slightly to accentuate her impressive figure. Her black-stockinged legs crossed gently.
"Ara, this room was specially designed by me—after twisting Sona's arm—for your exclusive use, Vitan-san. Could it be that you're not satisfied with my thoughtful design?"
Vitan closed the door behind him, a faint smile playing on his lips.
"No, I'm quite satisfied. I just don't know who I'd use it with."
Rias' deep blue eyes narrowed slightly, then she let out a soft laugh and hinted slyly:
"Oh, Vitan-san, you're joking. I think you won't be lacking in partners in the near future."
Sitting at the desk with her hand propping up her chin, Rias looked at Vitan with meaningful eyes.
"So this position as the school nurse was your idea too, wasn't it? With Sona's personality, if she had arranged a job for me, I would've been assigned to teach classes instead."
"Ara! Whatever do you mean?"
"I carefully considered all aspects and thought that the role of school nurse was the most suitable one for you. After all, since Sona and I joined the school, we've only hired the most elite teachers from around the world. But in terms of treatment and health care, I don't think there's a single human who could compare to the healing arts of a pureblood devil noble like yourself."
Rias spoke calmly in response to Vitan's pointed gaze, her tone completely unshaken, as if she was speaking from the heart.
"Besides, the majority of the student body here is female, and they tend to be more delicate in constitution. Having a nurse who can use magic should solve a lot of their issues quickly. And as for concealing magical traces—I'm sure that's a piece of cake for you, right?"
Gazing into Rias' seemingly sincere and clear eyes, Vitan finally let out a laugh after a few seconds.
"Alright then, I'll take it as you say."
"I'll do my best to help the lovely female students with their various troubles."
He chose not to pursue Rias' motives further. After all, he would be here for a while—if she truly had plans, he'd eventually find out.
