As night fell over the forest, the convoy of Alpha Blackthorn arrived, and Kelly was more than happy to see her father after so long. Without delay, she rushed into his arms, burying herself in his embrace.
"I've missed you," she whispered.
Alpha Blackthorn was not happy—not when she chose such a lowlife over suitable men—but then, she was his only child. He held her close.
"I am here, and I will make it right," he whispered.
Kelly couldn't be any happier.
From a distance, Kael watched, fury blazing within him. But then he smirked and walked over.
"Alpha Blackthorn," he extended a hand, and Alpha Blackthorn stared down at it as if it stung.
"Is this what you promised my daughter? Living within the forest?" Alpha Blackthorn half-yelled.
Kael stood quietly.
"We leave at first dawn," her father ordered, then turned away.
