Teddy wasn't sure if he should or could summon those Hellhounds now. He figured it's not worth the risk. Not yet anyways.
The next thing he did was to place one of the Red Bayeti Blossoms in front of him as he sat cross legged. He was going to try something with it.
Teddy closed his eyes and started to circulate his spiritual energy. Next, the Red Bayeti Blossom floated in front of his chest.
As Mirella and Seraphine looked on, red and black orbs of light started to leave the Red Bayeti Blossom and enter Teddy's chest.
As these orbs began to be absorbed, more and more orbs began to flow. The number of orbs began to increase almost as if the rate of absorption was increasing.
After about an hour, the Red Bayeti Blossom was half gone. It appears Teddy was trying to cultivate it. But for what purpose?
After another hour, it was gone. But just as the two women thought that was it, another Red Bayeti Blossom floated over. It's absorption from the beginning was higher than the last.
This flower too slightly less time to absorb. This cycle continued all day. Each flower was absorbed slightly faster than the previous.
After a full day of cultivation and absorption of the Red Bayeti Blossoms, sweat poured off Teddy. It was obvious he had used up a lot of his spiritual energy. He needed rest.
He stood up and saw his two beautiful women walking into the room.
Mirella said, "Good, your done. You've been at it for a full day and night. Seraphine and I thought that you'd be cultivating longer."
Seraphine nodded her head in agreement.
Teddy let out a sigh as he replied, "To tell the truth, I didn't realize how long I was at it. All I knew was I couldn't stop until I had no choice to do so."
The two ladies understood completely. But what Teddy said next shocked them.
"If I am to fight that Undertaker Spectre, I need to be stronger and able to have some resistance to it. That's why I chose to try and absorb the Red Bayeti Blossoms."
Mirella and Seraphine both were confused. How will absorbing the Red Bayeti Blossom help him with resistance to the Undertaker Spectre?
Seeing the look on their face, Teddy decided to explain.
"You see, the Red Bayeti Blossoms, when cultivated, will give a natural resistance to having your own spiritual energy being sensed. This is because your spiritual energy not only is connected to your core but also your soul. Thus since the Red Bayeti Blossom is a flower connected to death then your own life essence can be hidden if needed."
Realization dawned in Mirella and Seraphine eyes. But before they could say anything about it, Teddy continued explaining.
"Now how it will make me stronger is it will help me with control over the Hellhounds because of the nature of the flower. It will also give me a new attack that I could use. The flowers might seem fragile however, the ability I'll gain from cultivating the Red Bayeti Blossoms is I'll be able to call them forward as a withering or decaying flower. Beautiful to look at but deadly to touch."
Once Teddy was done explaining, the ladies had chills run down their spines. The thought of what this skill will do creeped them out. Beautiful flowers that have withering and decaying energy in them was frightening to think about.
But as the ladies were being creeped out from the thought of the Red Bayeti Blossom ability, Teddy was thinking of ways to combine them with other attacks to make the skill more lethal.
Over the next few days, Teddy had absorbed a few more Red Bayeti Blossoms. He not only learned how to activate a skill call Withering Blossoms he also has learned how to mask his aura and life essence for the most part. Also he had a stronger sense of others life essence.
Now how his Withering Blossoms skill worked was, as he activated it, anywhere from one to a few hundred Red Bayeti Blossoms will appear. He can send them after his enemies or form shields to protect himself.
By absorbing so many Red Bayeti Blossoms, he was able to make them a little tougher. With the withering effects, this was a very potent skill to have.
Teddy felt ready to face the Undertaker Spectre now that he had refined his abilities. Also his spiritual energy was denser meaning he could activate his skills with less effort and they could also be stronger.
Without Mirella and Seraphine knowledge, Teddy slipped out one night and headed back to the Skyfield Cemetery. He figured that heading there was the best way to flesh out the Undertaker Spectre.
This spirit of death was going to hunt him down anyways. Might as well face it.
Teddy went to his ancestors grave from the last time he was here. As he approached the grave, Red Bayeti Blossoms covered it. There were more than before. This was strange.
According to Mirella and Seraphine, they had picked all the flowers last time they all were here. However, his eyes wasn't mistaken. The Red Bayeti Blossom covered his ancestors grave.
Now Teddy had two left. He brought them with him along with the Void Beads. He thought since the Red Bayeti Blossoms had the energy of withering, they might work as a catalyst to summon the Hellhounds.
Especially since withering energy had power over life and death.
However, he would only do this as a last resort. There was a sound reason why he hadn't summoned them yet.
He was afraid that since the Hellhounds were spiritual animals of the underworld and he was a heavenly cultivator, their nature's would clash.
Even with the energy of the Red Bayeti Blossoms that he had absorbed, Teddy was afraid that he wouldn't be able to establish the master-pet bond with the Hellhounds.
If he couldn't establish the bond, not only would the Hellhounds attack his enemies but the would attack everyone including himself.
So Teddy had the Void Beads with him but had decided not to use them unless he felt forced to.
Looking at the Red Bayeti Blossoms in front of him, Teddy swiped his right arm and all the flowers appeared in his spirit bag. He kept a few out to cultivate while he waited.
He thought that maybe by cultivating these flowers at the spot he had invoked the rath of the Undertaker Spectre maybe he could attract the spirit here.
He didn't know if this would work but he had to try. He can't keep hiding.
Teddy stood this time to cultivate. He needed as much of a chance to respond to any threat possible.
He absorbed a few flowers in the course of three hours and yet nothing. This was looking to be a waste of time.
Then he realized that still hiding his life essence. So Teddy stop hiding his life lessons and went back to cultivate.
It only took a couple of minutes could feel an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach. It was a feeling of doom.
If he was correct this was because of the Undertaker Spectre locking on to his life essence and approaching rapidly.
Smile formed on Teddy's face. Finally you can get rid of this Spirit hunting him down.
Just as he saw the Undertaker Spectre charging at him, he readied himself. You would only have one good shot at this.
As the spirit got closer, Teddy began to truly make out it's features. The Undertaker Specter reminded him of images of the grim Reaper. The only real difference was the Grim Reaper had a scythe when the Undertaker Spectre did not.
Right at the moment where it seemed too late, Teddy activated his skill Death Blossoms.
A shield of Red Bayeti Blossoms formed right in front of Teddy. The shield was thick, consisting of over three hundred Red Bayeti Blossoms. With these flowers increased density, it was a formidable defense.
The Undertaker Spectre wasn't able to react and slammed into the large shield of Red Bayeti Blossoms.
Allowed explosion was heard coupled with a shockwave spreading out in all directions except the back of the shield. The smell of decay and death permeated through the cemetery.
As Teddy lowered his shield of Red Bayeti Blossoms, there was a gruesome sight in front of him. The Undertaker Spectre was decaying at a rate visible to the naked eye.
Underneath of the Undertaker Spectre, a pool of decay fluid formed. As the Spectre decayed, fluids dropped from its body and into this pool of fluid. The more this happened the larger the pool of fluid grew.
It talk about twelve seconds for the Undertaker Spectre to fully decay into this pool. Then the fluid seeped into the ground and black flowers began to bloom.
These flowers were another type of blossom of the underworld. They don't belong in the normal world. Teddy decided to collect these flowers as well to ask the ladies what they were.
Now that he is no longer being hunted by the Undertaker Spectre, he can continue his normal life. He figured that once the spirit was defeated, the world would no longer seek his death.
What he did not know was he had touched on one of the laws of nature. If one could survive the Undertaker Spectre, then his violation of the laws of nature would be considered resolved. Basically, nature would consider the individual worthy to continue to live.
