Chapter 72 - CHAPTER SEVENTY-ONE

Jasmin Felisa called out to the young woman walking in the darkness. She merely turned to her; her eyes gazed at her softly.

The only sound accompanying her sigh was the wind. She immediately walked towards the heir that was approaching her.

Did you show Mikaela what was happening? Felisa asked.

It nodded at her; it didn't speak. Felisa simply hugged Jasmin, no longer needing to ask her what she had seen in the world of humans.

Felisa, could you please let me know what's going on with you? Jasmin asked her in surprise.

Her soul is slowly fading away because her memory will also be erased if she and Ellese stay in this place for too long.

Our memories are about to fade, Jasmin; that is why we are doing everything we can. Before we become a lost soul wandering back and forth—aimlessly—we want to achieve justice.

Jasmin nodded softly at what she said. Felisa knew that this young woman was very kind; even though her death was bitter, she still carried the goodness of her heart.

She held Jasmin's palm; they still had something to do as siblings. Even so, they are about to disappear; this allows her to help the young women who have been deprived of a good life.

They went to the warehouse. Jasmin looked puzzled as to why they came back here again.

Do you remember who saved you in the warehouse? She asked Jasmin.

She just shook her head at Felisa's question.

I can't see who saved me, but I know that a soul saved me here before, and you, too, led me out of the dense forest so I could see Ericka.

She recounted the incident. She nodded in agreement.

Tonight, we plan to extend the same kindness to those incarcerated here. Felisa looked at Jasmin intently.

Jasmin's face looked confused as she gazed at her. In what way, Felisa? Jasmin looked at her.

Jasmin, we are now one soul; we can do what we couldn't do when we were still alive. She looked at it.

Even though it was confused, it just nodded at what she was saying now. There were walls in front of them, and they slipped through without any difficulty back then.

Felisa saw Ellese; she was observing something around her.

Felisa called out to Sister Ellese.

Ellese looked in her direction and saw women with their eyes blindfolded, clearly terrified of what was about to happen.

She counted them: five young women.

Where are the others? Felisa asked her sister.

Jasmin looked at her and followed her.

Fernan and his siblings were there; she saw her fist clench.

They knew they were late, but they were here to help the women.

Who sees us, sister? Jasmin asked Ellese.

All of them have experienced fear and despair; I know they see us. Ellese said.

One by one, she removed their blindfolds.

One of them gasped, scared.

"W—Who are you?" One of them asked, their voice trembling.

When a person is on the brink of death, they can see what they couldn't see before; their ability to communicate, smell, and see those like them naturally emerges.

Felisa also untied its hands and feet; she could see its bruises.

Please hurry, as time is limited; kindly follow us. Her voice blended with the wind.

They exchanged glances, and one by one, the ones they had released stood up.

"Whoever you are, take us away from this hell." The woman was about to cry.

Felisa didn't say a word; she started walking on air, and Jasmin just followed her. They heard footsteps and conversations, knowing that the men were still awake at this hour.

Felisa signaled Jasmin to hide them.

Although Jasmin was confused, she simply embraced the five young women. The guards passed by them.

Felisa called her sister.

Felisa found a path, and she knew that the path Ellese discovered led directly to the dense forest. If you don't know the warehouse built by their father, you'll be caught by the guards.

She stopped to assist the young women who were still scared.

She quietly followed them.

Hurry, follow her. This refers to Ellese, who is waiting for the women.

They nodded to each other; they had already gotten out by then.

She knew that in a few minutes, chaos would erupt inside the warehouse because the captives had escaped.

They heard footsteps approaching in their direction, and she saw Fernan, Shaina, and Kristine holding her youngest, George.

The others gasped and then cried when they saw that their other companions were safe.

Felisa counted the Fernans they had saved. They were able to save ten women. The plan will begin outside of the warehouse, detailing how they will free it without getting caught in the dense forest.

There's no time left; I know they're searching right now. This is what she heard Fernan say.

The women heard them.

"Thank you very much."

You can thank us later when you've escaped from here. Fernan said he checked the path through the dense forest.

Brother, Shaina could only sigh at that moment.

They walked again, having distanced themselves from the warehouse. She could hear the commotion from the staff there, knowing they would search the forest.

Brother Fernan, Sister Ellese, it's better if we split up for now, a smaller group so we won't be easily spotted."

They agreed with her decision, and five young women followed him, including Jasmin.

With her sister Ellese were Kristine, Fernan, Shaina, and George.

Let's meet at the usual spot; there, I know someone will help them. Fernan managed to say to them.

She knew that place. They immediately separated.

Their decision to separate was right to protect other women.

She hears footsteps approaching them.

"I hear something in the direction where someone is walking! Here! Here!" Felisa heard the men shouting.

Her friend shook in fear as the men's flashlights, the only light, blinded them.

Shh. Felisa looked at the woman, who had tears streaming down her face, and nodded.

She hid the women behind her petite back, which Jasmin embraced tightly.

"Not here!" shouted a comrade, shining a light in their direction.

"I hear a voice here, footsteps! I won't be mistaken! Search them out! I know they are hiding in the shade of the trees!" He ordered.

In front of her were two or three men holding flashlights; they just passed them by, their direction illuminated.

"There's really nothing here." One of them said.

"I know they haven't gone far yet. Come on, let's not waste any more time here; they'll escape even more." One of them ordered.

The two companions followed, except for one who was making sure they weren't there.

"Tsk."

As he departed, the darkness gradually engulfed them.

Don't move yet; they haven't gone far. She managed to say this to them.

The group nodded in response, despite their fear. After a while, the surroundings became quiet.

Let's go. They are waiting.
