Chapter 18 - Symbol of Peace

I stood tall, unwavering, my eyes locked sharply onto the figure before me.

"Let's cut to the chase, Shigaraki. What do you want?"

Shigaraki narrowed his eyes, letting out a low, sinister chuckle.

"Why, of course… I'm here to meet the symbol of peace himself—All Might. And to kill him," he said, his voice dripping with vile amusement.

My gaze dropped in disgust. After his long, drawn-out laugh, he looked back at me with a twisted grin, raising one hand to point.

"Kurogiri. Move him. Now."

In an instant, that thick fog enveloped me again—familiar, suffocating. My body felt like it was being pulled into a vacuum, and once more… I was relocated.

I reappeared mid-air, high above a dense forest, then landed perfectly among the trees below.

"Damn it… they warped me again."

I thrust my hand forward.

"Hakujoudai!"

From the shadows, Hakujoudai emerged—its piercing blue eye glowing brightly.

"Take me to All Might. Hurry!"

Hakujoudai circled around me swiftly, and in moments, my surroundings shifted once more. I now stood in a central command room, where All Might sat, speaking to someone.

I rushed toward him, urgency in every step. His eyes widened in shock.

"Aizawa-kun?! What are you doing here?" he asked, clearly startled.

"Sensei! U.A. is under attack!" I said quickly—there was no time for pleasantries.

All Might's expression changed immediately. He stood up so fast his chair nearly fell behind him.

"What?! How is that possible?" he asked in a panic.

I shook my head quickly and replied, "I'm not sure, Sensei. I think the security system was hacked. The villains appeared through something… like a Quirk-based portal."

All Might froze, narrowing his eyes.

"A warp gate… That's an extremely rare Quirk. Then we must act immediately!"

Without hesitation, he sprinted toward the exit, but just before he could leap into motion, I stepped in to stop him.

"Sensei! Please—rely on Hakujoudai during the trip. It will drastically shorten the time!"

He gave a swift nod, unwilling to waste even a second. As he approached me, Hakujoudai began to spin around us both.

And in the blink of an eye—we were back at U.A.

***

U.A. was in ruins—utterly devastated. Debris littered the ground, and several villains lay unconscious across the area.

All Might charged forward, tearing through a crumbling wall with sheer force, only to be met with a horrifying sight.

Towering at over two meters, a grotesque creature stood in the center of the chaos. Its skin was pitch black, its wide, unblinking eyes full of menace, sharp teeth bared in a twisted grin—and most disturbingly, its exposed brain pulsed with a sickening clarity.

But none of that mattered. My eyes dropped instantly—not on the creature, but on the man crushed beneath its weight. His head was bloodied, his body stiff and lifeless.

It was my father.

My breath caught in my throat. Time froze. The world around me ceased to move. My eyes widened in disbelief.

All Might turned toward me, noticing the sudden shift in my expression—the growing darkness spreading across my face.

In the blink of an eye, I vanished from his sight.

I surged forward, grabbing the beast's arm and hurling it aside with raw fury.

Midoriya, Asui, and the others stood frozen in shock.

I approached slowly, kneeling beside my father's lifeless form. I gently cradled his head in my arms.

"Sensei… my father… he's gone."

All Might's eyes widened. He lowered his head solemnly, then shot forward with rage, landing a fierce punch on the monster.

"You bastard!!!" he roared.

Midoriya and Asui approached me cautiously.

"Aizawa-kun… I'm so sorry… I couldn't protect him," Midoriya choked out, tears brimming in his eyes.

"It's not your fault," I replied quietly.

Midoriya tried to speak again, but the words caught in his throat. He saw the absolute darkness etched across my face—and said nothing.

I laid my father's body down gently, then turned, walking toward Shigaraki, who stood beside the fog-covered figure, Kurogiri.

"Well, Aizawa Tsukasa? I told you—I never joke when it comes to—"

His words were cut short.

In an instant, I was already in front of him, my hand gripping his face.

With unrelenting force, I slammed his head into the ground, shattering the terrain beneath and sending a thunderous shockwave across the battlefield.

Shigaraki screamed, scrambling to touch me with his Decay Quirk.

"Aizawa-kun!! Watch out!! If he touches you, he can disintegrate anything!!" Midoriya shouted.

But as Shigaraki's hand made contact with me—nothing happened.

"What…? Impossible…" Midoriya muttered in disbelief.

I yanked Shigaraki's head up, his face a bloodied, broken mess.

Without hesitation, I slammed him down again—this time, even harder. His scream tore through the air.

"NOMU!! HELP ME!!!" he shrieked.

The monster—Nomu—locked in battle with All Might, immediately turned and launched itself at me at blinding speed.

Its punch connected with a deafening boom, the sheer pressure tearing through the surrounding air like a storm.

"AIZAWA-KUN!!" All Might yelled, panic seizing his voice.

The dust cleared, and Nomu's massive fist was seen—buried into my skull.

Shigaraki grinned in triumph… but only for a moment.

Hope drained from his eyes as he saw my arm move—then my fist smashed into Nomu's body, sending the monster flying and crashing through one of U.A.'s reinforced walls.

And in that moment... Shigaraki looked into my face—eyes full of wrath, shadows dancing across my skin.

And he saw it.

The real monster.
