Cherreads

Chapter 21 - Who is he really?

Shigaraki lowered his head, his expression a twisted blend of rage, despair, and bitter frustration.

"Damn it… Damn it… Cheater! You damn cheater! Cheater!! CHEATER!!!"

He screamed furiously, clawing at his own neck with both hands until his nails dug deep into his skin.

"He didn't weaken at all… Nomu wasn't enough… not even close…" he muttered over and over, his voice trembling.

All Might remained standing—unshaken. His eyes, sharp as blades, stared down at them with absolute resolve and unyielding judgment.

"What's this? You're backing down? Didn't you say you came here to finish your mission?"

"Then come on… show me!"

Shigaraki froze, still scratching violently, blood beginning to drip down his neck, his muttering growing more unhinged.

"Damn it… damn it… If only Nomu was still here… Just a little more… just a little more!"

A swirl of dark mist drifted closer—it was Kurogiri, his voice calm and composed as he tried to reach him.

"Shigaraki Tomura, please. Compose yourself. Look carefully. All Might is wounded—Nomu did real damage."

"The students are only watching. Reinforcements will arrive soon. But there's still a chance—if we act together."

Kurogiri's words seeped into Shigaraki's frenzy like a tranquilizer. Slowly, his claws loosened, and he raised his head, eyes clearer.

"You're right… you're right… It's impossible—if we face the true final boss head-on."

Then, in an instant, Kurogiri and Shigaraki lunged forward—rushing toward All Might, who now stood still… unable to move another step.

"What matters now… is avenging Nomu!!" they shouted in unison, closing in fast.

But the last thing they expected—Midoriya came charging at them, catching Shigaraki off guard with his sheer speed.

Midoriya's fist aimed straight for Kurogiri, trying to knock him out in one decisive blow. But once again… he struck the wrong target.

Shigaraki's hand shot out toward him—his deadly Quirk ready to disintegrate.

"STAY AWAY FROM ALL MIGHT!!!"

Midoriya shut his eyes, bracing himself for whatever came next. Shigaraki's fingers were inches away.

Then—BANG!

A gunshot rang out. A bullet pierced straight through Shigaraki's palm, stopping him cold.

"THEY'RE HERE!!" All Might roared.

Figures began to appear, one by one, lining up in a solid formation. Each wore unique outfits, each radiating power and authority.

They were the esteemed teachers of U.A.

"They're here…" Shigaraki muttered bitterly. "Heh… Guess it's game over."

One of the teachers—masked and armed—opened fire, forcing Shigaraki to retreat behind Kurogiri.

Slowly, Kurogiri activated his Quirk. A dark mist began to envelop them, threatening to consume them whole.

But 13, bloodied and injured, refused to stay down. With what strength she had left, she activated a Black Hole Quirk, trying to pull them back.

Too late.

The swirling black mists swallowed them.

"This time… we lost," Shigaraki said, his voice echoing from the fog. "But remember… one day—we will return."

USJ… reduced to rubble.

The facility was nearly flattened, countless things lay broken, and worse—one of the U.A. teachers had fallen in the line of duty, casting a heavy shadow over everything.

Now, Aizawa Shouta—my father—was being carried away on a stretcher, alongside several wounded teachers and a severely injured All Might.

"If only I hadn't arrived too late... maybe Aizawa..." All Might muttered under his breath, guilt lacing every word.

Some of Class 1-A's students were in tears, unable to hold back at the sight of their teacher's battered body. The other teachers looked on in concern, their faces grave.

But more than anyone—Present Mic sobbed uncontrollably.

"EVERYONE!!! GIVE YOUR FINAL SALUTE TO ERASER HEAD!"

The command jolted everyone to attention. Without hesitation, they stood straight and gave one last salute.

Present Mic slowly approached his fallen friend, pulling him into a tight embrace.

"Why… Why did you have to go so soon… Shouta… why?"

His voice trembled, and tears poured freely. The students around him cried too, unable to bear the pain.

"Wait… Where's Tsukasa?"

All Might's question froze the air. Everyone looked around in confusion. His eyes turned to Midoriya.

"I don't know, Sensei… Just a moment ago, he was still here."

A gentle breeze blew—and then, something impossible happened.

My father's lifeless body began to rise, lifting off the stretcher and floating upward, stunning everyone below. Higher and higher he went, until a figure blocked the sun's light.

It was me—Aizawa Tsukasa—hovering above with a wide grin, fangs bared in the light.

"Aizawa-kun…" Midoriya whispered, eyes locked on me in disbelief.

"TSUKASA!!! BRING YOUR FATHER DOWN!!!" roared All Might.

"Hahahahaha… Sensei, calm down. I won't do anything to my own father," I said with a soft laugh, wearing a smile completely unfitting for the scene.

Everyone stared, shocked. And then one person snapped.

"YOU DAMN BRAT!! BRING HIM DOWN, TSUKASA!!!" Present Mic screamed in rage.

My father now rested in my arms. I cradled him gently, brushing his face with soft, affectionate strokes.

"Ahhh… It's happened again, hasn't it, Dad? Why are you always so fragile?"

Every eye widened, fixed on me with disbelief.

"What are you planning to do to him…" Midoriya murmured, eyes narrowing.

"To him?" I tilted my head and smiled innocently. "Hmm… I think I'll bring him back to life."

Gasps erupted from the crowd. Mouths hung open.

"DON'T JOKE AROUND, TSUKASA!!! PUT HIM DOWN!!!" Present Mic yelled furiously.

I burst into laughter, covering my face with my hand.

"Why? It's not like it's hard for me to revive someone."

From the shadows behind me, Hakujoudai and Kakujoudai emerged. Their eyes were pitch-black voids with blazing pupils—radiating a terrifying presence.

They circled my father as I spread my arms wide.

"Oh, Hakujoudai… Kakujoudai… I beg you—bring my father back to me."

The clouds above thickened. Thunder cracked in the distance. The air trembled with wrath.

And my father's body… began to glow with a dark, ominous light.

Then, everything erupted.

A blinding explosion forced everyone to shield their eyes. But when they looked back—when their vision cleared…

Their jaws dropped.

And there he stood—Aizawa Shouta, whole once more.
