Chapter 17 - The Raid

"T-the villains came out of something... how did they manage to enter a hero training facility?!" some students exclaimed in panic, their voices tinged with fear.

"Sensei! What about the intruder alarm system?!" Yaoyorozu called out, stepping back to maintain a safe distance.

Thirteen stepped forward, shielding us instinctively.

"We did install an alarm system, but... it seems they came through something undetectable," Thirteen said calmly.

"For them to show up during class hours... this wasn't random. They clearly planned this ahead of time," they added.

"Leave this to me!"

That bold declaration stole everyone's attention. My father stood firm, goggles in place, and his capture weapon ready.

"A hero always has more than one trick up his sleeve."

He glanced briefly over his shoulder.

"Thirteen, I'm entrusting the students to you."

He was about to leap down, preparing to charge in, but then... his movement froze at the sound of a voice.

"Dad! Let me help you!" I shouted, stepping toward him.

He turned, eyes sharp and unwavering.

"No, Tsukasa! Even if you're strong, this is still dangerous!" he said firmly, his tone unyielding.

I froze, heart clenching, but I didn't want to give up.

"I don't want my child to get hurt," he said one last time.

I stood in silence, watching as his feet slammed down, launching him off the ledge—straight into the horde of villains waiting below.

Father leapt down, charging headfirst into the chaos below. The villains on the ground burst into mocking laughter.

"What an idiot, coming straight at us! Sniper squad—fire!"

The gunmen raised their weapons, taking their stances. But the moment they pulled the trigger—nothing happened.

"What? Why won't it fire?!"

In that instant, Father struck. His capture weapon lashed out, wrapping around two of them. With a fierce tug, he slammed their bodies together in midair.

"You fools! That's Eraser Head! He can nullify other people's Quirks!" shouted one of the panicked villains.

Then, a massive figure stepped forward—a mutant-type villain with four enormous arms. He chuckled with disdain.

"You can't erase mutant-type Quirks, can you?"

WHAM!

Before the villain could gloat further, a powerful punch collided with his face, cutting his sentence short.

"Of course not. My Quirk only works on those that create or modify," Father said coldly.

The brute was yanked down from the air, slammed into the ground, and finished with a crushing blow that sent him flying once more.

"Your Quirk is made for close-range combat... but I came prepared."

Meanwhile, a new threat appeared before us—a villain with a voice like thunder and a body made of thick black mist.

"I won't let any of you assist Eraser Head," he growled, his tone dripping with contempt.

Kirishima stepped up, and Bakugo followed, both activating their Quirks. Kirishima charged to slice through, while Bakugo blasted in with an explosion—but both attacks were futile.

The villain's form scattered like true mist, swirling rapidly around us.

"I'll separate all of you... one by one."

I stared in horror, eyes darting to my father who was still battling fiercely.

"Dad!!" I cried out, trying to reach him.

Without thinking, I reached out my hand.

"Kakujoudai!"

From the shadows emerged Kakujoudai, a floating black eye with a deep crimson pupil.

"Watch over my father!"

In the blink of an eye, everything changed. My surroundings twisted. I'd been transported somewhere else—completely alone.

"Tch... Look at this," a sneering voice said. "A naive little kid, all by himself. Should we kill him?"

A group of villains approached with twisted grins.

"I don't have time to play with garbage like you."

Now... the villains lay sprawled on the ground, defeated and broken. Every single one who dared to interfere with me had been thoroughly neutralized.

"Aizawa Tsukasa."

That repulsive voice called out to me. I turned to see a young man I had encountered before.

That freak—his grotesque form held together by artificial hands clutching parts of his own body.

"What do you want from me?" I asked coldly.

He sneered—disgustingly—raising one hand like a preacher about to deliver a twisted sermon.

"Join us. Your place isn't with the heroes. With your extraordinary Quirk... together, we could rule the world."

I spat on the ground, eyes narrowed with absolute contempt.

"You all are nothing but broken toys. Defective trash... a failed product that shouldn't have existed."

His eyes widened. He scratched at his neck violently, like a madman spiraling deeper into mania.

"Cheater... you damn cheater!!!"

Then, abruptly, his body fell still. He looked up. His movements froze.

"In that case, I'll just kill Eraser Head instead!"

The moment he uttered those words, a chilling pain surged through him. He turned—eyes wide—as he saw it.

A dark, seething aura radiated from me, swirling like a storm ready to consume.

"Hey... what's your name?"

He swallowed hard. My voice wasn't a question. It was a command.

"S-Shigaraki Tomura," he answered quietly.

Silence fell.

Then slowly, one of my hands rose—gripping my mouth tightly, trying to suppress something.

"Heh... hehehe... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Shigaraki trembled. His pupils shrank. His body weakened under the weight of that twisted, malevolent laugh.

"Shigaraki Tomura..."

"If even a single one of your filthy fingers touches my father..."

"I'll turn you... to dust."
