Stopping at the entrance of a storey building restaurant with the name "Bella Vita" boldly displayed, Rey expected a reaction from Mia but she sat still like a mannequin on her seat.
"We are here." Andrew announced first, he needed to be alone to have his head cleared and out of this tense environment.
'I could have constipation.' He mused in his head, looking at the two awkward figures behind him.
"We are here." Rey repeated and Mia nodded at his words.
Stepping out of the car, he reached out to her and just as if she had rehearsed it before now, she placed her hands on his and stepped out of the car.
'Bella Vita?' Mia subtly raised her brow at the luxury before her.
"A restaurant." Rey who had leaned closer to her muttered, sending shivers down her spine and forcing her to lean on the car for support.
"I know." She gave him a bright smile which still left her eyes empty of the required emotions and Rey felt a tinge of dissatisfaction.
"Shall we?" Mia asked uncomfortably after having to lean away from him for a bit.
Without waiting for him to initiate the gesture, she slipped her hand through his and held him tight, acting coquettish and cute before leading him towards the entrance of the restaurant.
"Jeez!" Andrew who had stepped down from the car widened his eyes a little and shivered at the immediate switch.
Even when knowing it was a fake gesture, Rey swore he felt his heart skip a beat when her soft skin brushed against his clothed one. He looked at her with a little frown on her face and she looked up at him with a wide smile that made him want to dissolve himself in her the crescent shape of her eyes.
"Aren't we supposed to get into the act?" She muttered between her teeth and Rey wondered how she was able to sound irritated while still holding her smile and produce words with her teeth clenched.
"Right." He replied and let go of her hand.
He could have easily told her that she didn't need to act out in this area as he had booked the entire restaurant for the evening but no, he needed to feel her and get the feeling of being loved from her even though it was fake.
It was easier to face her in the act in public than in private where he wouldn't have to apologize for his past actions.
Mia frowned when Rey peeled off her hands from his.
'What is he up to this time?' She stared at him, a little frown forming in-between her brow.
Seeing him frown harder, she had her heart begin to drum in her chest, threatening to get ripped out of its ribcage. Did she do it wrongly? Was it bad timing?
Leaning in on her, he had his lips a little too close to her lips and her breath harboured. She stared him in the eyes before her eyes voluntarily traveled to his lips without her permission. She felt her heart flutter but the memory of that night in her room came back to her and she immediately turned away and tried to distance herself from him but as if anticipating this action, he wrapped his hand around her waist and brought her close, softly slamming her body against his.
"Right. We are supposed to get into the act." His voice went deeper as he gained in on her, his lips almost brushing against hers.
Mia felt the blood in her veins rush up to her face, her eyes were wide open as she stared at him in shock. They were too close, she could feel the contour of his hard body against hers.
Seeing Mia's face turn the color of strawberry, Rey felt his smile kick up and this time, it was a genuine one. His sense of achievement shot up the roof.
Raising his hand, he used his thumb to clear out the remaining frown between her brow. "If we need to get this right, you would have to stop frowning Sweet."
Looking her deep in the eyes again, he leaned away before gaining in again and this time he aimed for her ear. When Mia tried to rescue herself, not knowing what to expect from him this time, his hand around her drew her even closer to him.
As if using one hand wasn't enough, he made use of both hands to make sure she was as close as a second skin and had no chance to flee.
Mia whose leg mistakenly brushed against his hardening dick almost melted from the rush of adrenaline she was experiencing.
"I could kiss you right here to prove a point to whoever might be watching but we would have to take it slow." He whispered into her ear with her deep voice and she felt her blood warm up to his voice.
Her stomach curled up and her toes twisted themselves in excitement, her legs were jelly like when he finally withdrew to look at her.
'This isn't good!' She screamed in her head not knowing how to react except stare at him in a daze.
"You have the rest of the night to admire my beauty." He said arrogantly and let go of her but she still held on for the sake of her life, afraid that she would plop down on the floor and give herself the most embarrassing moment of her life.
"Isn't she beautiful?" She heard him ask and turn abruptly to look at Rey when she caught two staff members she hadn't noticed standing awkwardly in front of the restaurant entrance to welcome them.
She immediately let go but Rey wasn't having it this time. He brought her close to his side and had his hand wrapped protectively around her waist.
"She…is, she is." The young man who had seen Reynaldo's display of action stuttered with red ears, his eyes dancing wildly.
Mia looked at the second staff and wondered when they got here. How much did they hear? How much did they see?
"Shall we?" Rey asked, he was back to being nonchalant.
"Yes, yes of course sir." The lady responded eagerly, leading the way.
"What are you doing!?" Mia whisper shouted at Rey, looking up at him with a frown and her teeth clench to show her vexation.
"Doing what was supposed to be done." His arrogant response came.
"You went too far."
"Was there a limit?" He stared down at her.
"It seems to happen to admire my face more often, watch your steps." He said and Mia almost swore and knocked his annoying smile out of his face.
Looking ahead of her and deciding it was best to keep mute and play along as she still bore a grudge from earlier, she looked around the empty restaurant and wondered why it was empty at this hour.
By instinct, she had looked up at Rey and wanted to ask him why he thought the so-called high end restaurant was empty but she held back her tongue.
"I guess you are so in love with me that you'd never have your full admiration of my face even ten years from now." Rey boasted.
"What!?" Came out without second guessing and it sounded angry and shocked .
Mia had never wanted to punch Rey so badly, especially in the face. When the staff paused at the bottom of the stairs and looked back at her, she summoned up a smile.
"We would need to go ahead of them." Rey leaned down to whisper into her ear.
She frowned, wondering why she needed to be ahead of the staff.
