Chapter 17 - Revolt and Revelation

10:05 AM – West Wing, Records Room (Vault of Truths & Triggers)

The door was older than the rest of Ridgewood—heavy wood, brass handle, no label.

Bee pressed her ear to it.

Silence.

Kai produced the admin keycard he'd lifted weeks ago during detention. "One last heist?"

She nodded. Swipe. Click. They were in.

The air was thick with dust and secrets. Rows of filing cabinets lined the room, each drawer labeled in faded ink—Student Discipline, Faculty Reviews, Alumni Reports, Medical Flags, and one drawer with no label at all.

Zuri found the light switch. A single bulb flickered to life overhead.

Serena headed for the computer terminal tucked in the corner, booting it up with fast fingers. "This isn't just storage," she murmured. "It's a graveyard."

Bee's fingers trembled as she opened the unmarked drawer.

Inside were folders with red tape.

Each stamped: CONFIDENTIAL – DO NOT RELEASE.

Logan looked over her shoulder. "What the hell is this?"

Bee pulled out the top file. Her own name stared back at her.

BELLAMY "BEE" MCKENNA – MONITORED CASE – INTERNAL INCIDENTS

She flipped it open. Every time she'd been sent to detention. Every altercation. Even her therapy notes.

Kai swore under his breath. "They've been tracking you."

She kept flipping—until she reached a stapled report labeled:

> Hailey Everhart – Incident Report #0087: Blackmail & Threat Assessment

Zuri gasped. "They knew what Hailey was doing."

Bee's voice was hollow. "They let her do it."

Another file, this one with Logan's name. Then Serena's. Even Zuri's—dated back to middle school.

Bee looked up.

"They've been collecting dirt on all of us. Controlling us."

Kai slammed his hand on the cabinet. "We drop this. All of it."

"No," Bee said, voice icy calm. "We don't drop it. We detonate it."

11:00 AM – Cafeteria (Truth Bombs & Tray Drops)

The lunchroom was loud—until it wasn't.

Bee walked straight to the center, climbed onto a table, and cleared her throat.

Every head turned.

She held up a single sheet—the summary of the files.

"Ridgewood has been keeping secrets on all of us," she began. "Not just students. Teachers. Families. Everything."

A murmur rippled.

"They let Hailey blackmail students. They funneled school money into private campaigns. They used our trauma as leverage."

Gasps. A tray clattered.

"I'm not asking you to believe me. I'm asking you to read for yourselves."

She nodded at Logan, who hit send on a mass email.

Everyone's phones buzzed.

Kai climbed up beside her. "Welcome to the revolution."

11:37 AM – Principal Harrow's Office (Fallout & Fury)

Bee was summoned to the office before the cafeteria could fully recover.

Principal Harrow looked like a storm in a suit.

"You just committed cyberterrorism," he growled.

"No," Bee replied calmly. "I exposed systemic abuse."

"You'll be expelled."

Bee smiled, placing the folder marked STAFF MISCONDUCT – HARROW, N. on the desk.

"Try me."
