Chapter 20 - The Clam Before the Storm

9:30 PM – War Room (Revelations & Resolutions)

The air in the war room was electric, heavy with anticipation, after Bee's declaration. Her words still hung in the air like smoke, filling the room with a tension that was almost tangible. No one spoke at first, as if they were all waiting for the dust to settle before the real chaos began. Kai was the first to break the silence, his voice low, almost a growl.

"You really mean this," Kai said, his dark eyes locking onto Bee's, his stance wide and confident, though there was an edge of disbelief in his words. "You're talking about taking them down for good. All the way. Ridgewood, Harrow, the whole system. You're not just messing around."

Bee's gaze was unwavering, the fire in her eyes burning brighter than ever. "I'm done playing by their rules. If we want to win this, we have to take the fight to them. We have to burn their empire to the ground and take away their power."

9:40 PM – War Room (The Stakes)

Zuri, standing across from Bee, crossed her arms tightly over her chest. Her expression was guarded, but there was a sharpness in her eyes that reflected her growing concern. "And you're sure you're ready for what comes next?" she asked, voice steady, but laced with caution. "Once we expose them, we can't take it back. This is bigger than Ridgewood. You're talking about a full-blown war."

Bee nodded, her jaw set. "I'm not backing down, Zuri. They've had their time. They've controlled everything and everyone, including us. If we don't strike now, they'll bury everything we've uncovered. This is our only chance."

Madison, who had been silent until now, shifted in her seat. Her fingers gripped the edge of the table as she spoke up, voice shaking but filled with determination. "And when we do this, when we expose everything... we need to be ready for the fallout. The consequences won't be easy. We're talking about taking on the system itself."

Bee took a deep breath, looking each person in the room in the eye. "I know what we're facing. And I know there's no going back once we start this. But we don't have a choice. We either let them keep running everything, or we take them down. And I choose to fight."

9:50 PM – War Room (Making the Plan)

Logan, who had been leaning against the wall, finally stood and moved toward the table. His voice was cool, calculating, as always. "You're right. This is bigger than we ever thought. We're not just taking down Ridgewood or Harrow; we're tearing down everything they've built. If we go through with this, we're going to make enemies of everyone who's ever been involved in that system."

"I know," Bee said, her voice unwavering. "And I'm ready for that. The question is, are you?"

Logan didn't hesitate. "I've got your back, Bee. All the way."

Kai's lips curved into a smirk, and he crossed his arms, looking every bit the leader in that moment. "I'm in too. Let's burn it all down."

Bee looked around the room, meeting everyone's eyes. There was no hesitation now, no second-guessing. They were in this together. The time for playing safe was over.

10:00 PM – War Room (Execution)

"We start tomorrow," Bee said, her voice low but firm. "Zuri, you're in charge of the tech. Logan, Madison, you two will keep an eye on the ground intel. Kai and I will handle the big moves. We hit them hard and fast, no warning. We make sure they can't escape."

Zuri's eyes flickered with resolve, and she nodded. "I'll make sure no one can track us. We'll be ghosts."

Logan stood and gave a sharp nod. "I'll make sure we have eyes on everyone."

Madison, still shaking but now with determination in her eyes, gave a small nod. "I'll help where I can. Just tell me what to do."

Bee's eyes swept over them, her heart steadying with their loyalty. "Good. We move at dawn. This ends now."

10:30 PM – War Room (The Calm Before the Storm)

As the group filtered out, each person gathering their things and mentally preparing for the chaos ahead, Bee stayed behind. Her fingers drummed lightly on the table, but inside, her mind raced, running through every possible outcome, every twist and turn that might come their way. This was it—the moment they had all been waiting for. She could feel the weight of it, heavy and unrelenting, but there was no fear. Only resolve.

Tomorrow, they would make their move.
