"Good afternoon sir," I greeted, suddenly feeling embarrassed. There was a lot to be embarrassed about. There was the baby bump plus my whole body was a mess.
"The rumours are true then." He commented, ignoring my greeting. It was more of a question than a statement, but I made no move to provide an answer. His eyes bored into every physical part of my body, and his lips twisted in disgust when they settled on my stomach.
I bowed slightly in embarrassment. Did he come all the way just to ridicule me? For a moment I wished Leonard was here, and then shrugged when I thought of what his reaction would be.
Doesn't Leonard care only for the baby, and nothing else? Why should I wish he was here if he will only team up with his equally arrogant brother against me?
