A Week After
It's been a while, lots of emotions being around Mum and seeing her play with Dav. But more likely were the smiles on his face.
Mum had grown so used to Dav that she wouldn't spend a second without him by her side, and little by little she was getting stronger by the day and could go around with activities. I felt lifted in my heart.
Remembering those days when I had to choose between taking my baby out and the uneasy decisions, but nine, full months, was what it took to birth my bundle of joy.
Seated there, my mind made up, I was going to see my real parents today. But then, I couldn't go alone with Dav. I needed him to stay with Mum while I sorted out things.
I got into the car and a few minutes later, I was parked at the Peters' mansion.
Three solid years since I last stepped foot into this place. I took a deep breath and stepped out of the car, moving over to the gate.
