I stepped off the plane, and within minutes, the familiar air of New York hit my face. What stood out most was the breeze, it carried the scent of home, the one I had missed so much.
Home. I was finally back, but everything looked different. Still, I was sure of one thing, I wanted to see my second family, the Moores.
I had missed them deeply. They were there for me when no one else was, and even though they adopted me, they were my real parents in every way. I had made up my mind to mend the rift between both families so they could share in my life. I wanted them to come together.
"Mum, is this home?" little Dav asked, his face full of hope and light.
"Yes, cutie. Welcome back," I said, and he chuckled.
"Will I meet Grandma and Grandpa?" he asked, and I gasped.
"Yes, of course, my love," I replied, running my hand through his hair, and he giggled.
