Chapter 37 - The Power of Anger

Kaia slowly stood up again, blood trickling from his head, but his eyes burned with rage. "What?!" Gahu was shocked that Kaia could still rise and launched another attack, his sharp claws slashing toward him. In an instant, Kaia drove his sword through Gahu's palm. "Argh!" Gahu screamed in agony. "Shut up and die!" Kaia said coldly as he withdrew his sword. "Don't get too cocky!" Gahu roared, charging at Kaia again. This time, Kaia calmly blocked the ferocious onslaught, leaving Emily and Sisi dumbfounded. With a powerful kick, Kaia sent Gahu flying out of the room. Enraged, Gahu soared into the sky, conjuring an expanding energy ball in his hands, intent on destroying the palace. "Die!" Gahu hurled the energy ball with full force toward the palace. Kaia, after a brief moment of gathering strength, unleashed his ultimate move: "Divine Heaven Slash!" Compared to Enis, Gahu's power was insufficient to withstand this technique. The light wave shattered the energy ball and surged toward Gahu. "Urgh… why… ahh!" The light wave pierced the sky, reducing Gahu to ashes in its blaze. The remaining demon soldiers, seeing their defeat, fled in panic but were all captured by the kingdom's troops. Kaia, panting heavily, collapsed to his knees. "Kaia!" Emily rushed to his side. "Thank you all. Your timely rescue has saved us. I owe you a great debt," King Jothua said, finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. Kaia, still kneeling, grew increasingly weak and collapsed, black flames emanating from his body. "Kaia!" Emily and the others called out anxiously, hurriedly carrying him off for treatment.

In the Demon Realm Forest, I followed Ennis instructions and headed toward the western region. After walking about ten kilometers, I spotted a massive tree. Looking up, I could indeed see dragon-like shadows circling above. What now? Do I really have to fight? I hid in the bushes, observing. "Come out. I've been waiting for you," a voice called. Who was that? I looked toward the sound and saw a golden dragon speaking to me. "Lady Enis has already informed me. I've been waiting here for some time." Nervously, I stepped out from the bushes. "Sorry for disturbing your rest." I hadn't expected Enis to have arranged this. Who was she, to command dragons? "No need for words. Let's begin. I'll test your strength." "Yes, please guide me!" I summoned my sword, ready to fight. The dragon instantly spewed fire at me. I quickly used my Super Swift Step magic to dodge, then cast a Strength Enhancement spell to bolster my physique. "My turn!" I leaped and swung at it, but the dragon's tail effortlessly flicked me away. "Argh!" I was sent flying over ten meters. Luckily, the enhancement spell saved me from broken ribs. I got up and attacked again. "Thunder Flash Magic!" I unleashed a powerful move, but the dragon dodged and charged at me. I swiftly evaded, jumping behind it to strike. It suddenly spun around, spewing fire. Unable to dodge, I maxed out my enhancement spell to withstand the flames. "Urgh!" The fire scorched me, burning my left hand and chest. Gritting my teeth, I pressed the attack. The dragon's claw sent me flying again. This wasn't working—I'd lose if this continued. Struggling, I stood up. "Is that all? Lady Enis overestimated you," the dragon taunted. What? Enis believed in me? Then I couldn't let her down. "Don't get too arrogant. I'm just getting serious!" I shouted. I unleashed my Thunder Roar Sword, one of my ultimate techniques. "Ha!" I charged forward. The dragon swung its tail, but I leaped onto it, using Swift Run magic to race to its head. "Got you!" I aimed my sword at its skull, but the dragon spun rapidly, throwing me off. It grabbed me with its claw. "It's over." As it prepared to crush me, I shouted, "Thunder Burst!" detonating the thunder sword in my hand. "Tch!" The dragon's hand was injured, and it let go. I jumped down, summoning another Thunder Roar Sword to strike its abdomen. "Not so easy!" the dragon roared, taking flight. I hadn't learned flight magic, so I couldn't pursue. From the air, it relentlessly spewed fire at me. I could only dodge, unable to counter. (What do I do?) I thought while evading. Then it hit me—guerrilla tactics. I fled into the forest, using the trees for cover to plan my counterattack.
