Chapter 37 - Chapter 37 : Conney's Joy

Hikaru smirked. This was the feeling of ruling over an extraordinary world—his subjects would carry out his will with unwavering devotion.

He took a step forward, raised his hand, and pressed it down. Instantly, the noise from Apayado fell silent.

"Divine Soldiers, do you see that island that suddenly appeared?"

"Go up there and deal with all the bodies. As for those who are still alive, bind them with divine ropes and lock them in the prison. Until I give further orders, they will serve to atone for their sins."

"By your divine command!" the God's Guards shouted in unison.

With that, the soldiers activated their cloud shells, launching iron cloud tracks that connected to Jaya Island.

With a swift leap, they slid down the iron clouds, landing on Jaya Island to carry out Hikaru's orders without hesitation.

"Sesos, inform the priests to gather at the palace and await the emperor's arrival."

"Understood!" Sesos, captain of the Third Squad of God's Guard, bowed and carried out the order.

Ignoring his people's pleas to stay, Hikaru controlled Yasuie, flying straight toward the temple.

The breathtaking beauty of Skypiea left the women in awe, their eyes lighting up with wonder as they admired the island's grand architecture and endless sea of clouds.

After a while, Carina's body suddenly trembled. Nami, standing beside her, was startled and followed her gaze—only to realize Carina's eyes were practically sparkling with the reflection of Berries.

Nami quickly conjured a water mirror. Huh?! Her own eyes had the same Berry-filled glow!

The reason? Hikaru's palace was gleaming with gold, radiating a brilliance that screamed wealth.

"You two wouldn't be shocked just from seeing Hikaru's divine kingdom, would you?" Robin chuckled, covering her mouth gracefully. She had already mastered the art of staying composed.

"I think they're just thrilled at the thought of following Onii-chan forever, never running out of Berries again," Vivi teased, playfully patting their raised backsides.

"Hmph! You don't understand the charm of money! You've been a princess your whole life—you've never had to struggle like us, working hard every day and sailing the seas just to make a living!"

"Exactly!"

Nami and Carina retaliated, launching a tickling attack on Vivi in protest.

As the playful banter continued, Yasuie finally reached its destination, seamlessly connecting to the outskirts of the temple.

"You're free to explore—just be careful," Hikaru instructed. Then, with a sudden flash of lightning, he vanished.

The women all wore the goddess badges, each infused with his lightning, making them easily identifiable.

The temple's angels had already gathered, standing by for further commands.

Shrine – God's Chamber

Conis plucked the strings of her harp, filling the room with the melody of Time for Joy, while Raki sat nearby, listening attentively.

But suddenly, the music stopped.

Conis's face lit up with unconcealed joy—her Observation Haki had sensed Hikaru's presence. Behind him, a group of breathtakingly beautiful women wore the badge of the Goddess's Concubine.

My Lord…

She quickly stepped in front of a mirror, straightening her petite figure.

Perfect!

"Conis~"

In an instant, she was swept into Hikaru's arms as he appeared before her in a flash. His familiar scent filled her senses.

"My Lord! Your little angel missed you so much~"

Tears welled in Conis's eyes as she wrapped her arms around Hikaru's neck, offering herself to him without hesitation.

Hikaru held her close, saying nothing—there was no need for words.

Meanwhile, Raki stood frozen, unsure whether to stay or leave.

She hadn't known Hikaru for long, which made her hesitant and uneasy.

But that only made things more amusing for him.

The Next Morning

Hikaru was still groggy when a familiar soft and gentle voice reached his ears.

"My Lord God, are you awake?"

"Conis..."

After indulging in the angels' services the night before, Hikaru finally remembered the important matters at hand.

"Gather all the consorts in the main hall."

The angels immediately obeyed, spreading throughout the harem to summon each concubine to the main hall.

Hikaru didn't have to do anything—Conis and Raki naturally took the lead, making introductions and familiarizing themselves with the others.

Once everything was settled, Hikaru gave his orders.

"Hina, I want you to form a Goddess Guard to maintain the stability of the Kingdom of God. Let Tashigi assist you in selecting women from the kingdom."

"Vivi will be queen in the future. Follow Conis and Raki in handling matters with the God's Decision-Making Group."

"Robin, continue as usual—control Baroque Works, gather intelligence, and amass wealth."

He continued assigning simple tasks to the goddesses before finally heading to the palace with Nami.

At the Palace

The priests had been waiting since the previous day. The moment Hikaru arrived, they immediately bowed, their voices filled with excitement.

"Your Majesty the Emperor!"

Hikaru sat on the Dragon Throne and got straight to the point.

"Any news from Visalia, the small Sky Island?"

Ohm stepped forward to report.

"Yes. Gedatsu discovered in Water 7 that Visalia appeared in Spring Queen City, Saint Popla, about a month ago. However, they only stayed briefly before leaving..."

"Hmm? And what use is this news? A month is more than enough time for them to drift to the New World."

"Well… we tried to get their contact information, but they refused. It seems they don't answer calls from unknown numbers."

"Forget it…"

Hikaru sighed. Visalia was mostly made up of clouds with only a small amount of land. Tracking its location depended entirely on the whims of the scientists living there.

It seemed that if he wanted to find Visalia, starting with Kuma would be the easiest approach.

He lightly tapped his fingers on the Dragon Throne, a subtle motion that made the four High Priests and three captains of the God's Guard kneeling before him feel uneasy.

"Did you retrieve the shipbuilding manual?"

"Yes!"

Hikaru nodded. He had given these orders while capturing the goddesses. With something as convenient as Den Den Mushi, he made sure to put it to good use—often chatting late at night with Conis, who would shyly encourage him in a soft voice.

However, Ohm hesitated before speaking again.

"There was an… unexpected situation when we went to Water 7."

Hikaru raised an eyebrow. "Hmm? Why are you panting like that? Let Shura explain."

Shura quickly responded.

"When we descended to the Blue Sea, we encountered the Navy from the G-8 Branch. The moment they saw us, they attacked."

Hikaru frowned. "Why? You're not priests. Why would the Navy target you?"

"We're not sure… maybe they found us suspicious."

"So we fought back, captured some marines, and, well… now some of us have bounties on our heads."

Hikaru narrowed his eyes. The G-8 Branch… wasn't that the naval base where Luffy and his crew landed after leaving Skypiea?
