Henry clenched his fists. "You are lying. There is no way Dad will agree to let her work for you."
"There is no need for you to think so hard, dear brother," Lucas spoke as he sat down on the metal chair, which was outside the emergency room and turned to look at Henry sideways. With an enormous smug grin on his lips, he said to Henry, "You can go and ask our dear father whether or not he agreed to let me take Mia to my company as my assistant. Why waste so many of your little brain cells as well as my time trying to deny the truth?"
Henry's golden eyes narrowed when he heard Lucas's remark. A part of him wanted to stay and quibble, but he knew that there was no point in talking with a person like Lucas, who liked to push everyone's buttons. Especially his own.
"You better not be lying to me, Lucas." Henry turned around on his heel and threatened, "For your own good. I don't think Mia would appreciate it if you lie when the topic concerns her."
