Lucas stepped on the brakes as he came to a stop where the GPS location brought him, and when he saw that it was a hospital, his heart couldn't help but clench. Even though he told himself that it was fine and that Mia was nothing but one of the countless chess pieces that he had arranged for his ultimate victory, when he stepped out of his car and rushed inside, red-hot fury drove right into his head the second he saw her being carried into the emergency room.
His vision turned red, and he turned to look at the only man who stood next to the stretcher.
"What the fuck did you do to her?" Lucas caught hold of Henry's collar and pushed his body to the wall behind him. His voice was calmer than the silence in the corridor as he stated, "You better tell me the truth, dear brother. I don't have the patience to hear your nonsense."
