"—her interests," Shantel cut in. "Definitely not my sister's. We're yet to pursue the fact that your so-called uncle kidnapped my sister to threaten me and your family still have the audacity to threaten me again to get him released. Aren't you guys tired of using the same old trick every time?" Shantel fired back.
"But why am I not surprised? Of course, it's because kidnapping and threatening people run in the family. First it was your uncle, now your mother. Who knows whether the next would be you. I can already sense it from your tone."
Clarence's expression stayed neutral, but there was a glint in his eye—one Shantel had seen many times before on the faces of businessmen who smiled while tightening the noose.
