Lesley opened her eyes, now clear and burning with resolve.
Black runes began to form across her skin, flowing from her hands up to her head in a unique, elegant pattern. Her already black hair shimmered, now glowing faintly with a dark aura.
'This is the first time I'm using this power fully.'
'I don't know what'll happen… but I need to finish this fast.'
Lightning sparked around her, but it wasn't the usual blue. It crackled in hues of black and violet, unnaturally fierce.
The wyvern, turning away from the broken form of Robert, locked eyes with her.
Lesley raised her hand and chanted, "Lightning Dragon."
A surge of mana twisted in the air. A dragon of purple lightning, wreathed in black aura, roared into existence, crackling and snarling as if alive.
The wyvern beat its massive wings and took to the sky.
Crimson energy gathered in its jaws, demonic mana boiling with rage, as it fired a massive fireball toward her.
