Monday. Seven days later…
I'm back to work. It feels good to feel the air of professionalism again. Although most of my work was done through the internet all these days, it didn't beat the satisfaction of in person work.
Mr Devan was very concerned about me returning to work so soon, after that case with Pate. More or less he was concerned about Malachi's opinion on the matter. The instant I revealed to him that Malachi was totally in support, he welcomed me heartily.
I sigh heavily as my thoughts suddenly stray to Malachi. He was distant during breakfast this morning. Not like we've said much since I got back. Apart from the argument we had at his mum's makeup museum, nothing. All he's given me is indifference.
