Nova, Hanako and Rinko arrived at the location first. Rinko said, "We should use stealth to take out the guards." Nova and Hanako agreed they saw three guards in front of the first room. Hanako used her strings and wrapped them around their necks and choked them to death. Nova and Rinko swiftly moved to the next room, allowing Hanako to hide the bodies. Rinko used her gravity magic to lift half of the guards up in the air; she used her musket rifle to kill them silently. Once Rinko killed her group of guards, Nova jumped down towards the last set of guards and froze the ground and them sold. Once she froze the last of the guards, she summoned her spear and shattered them into pieces. Once all the guards were taken out, Nova, Hanako and Rinko headed towards the magic text, but before they could enter the room, Shiki shouted out and said, "Stop what you're doing right now." Kamiya, Kaya and Shiki all drew their weapons, and Kamiya said, "Hand over Nova before we have to kill you." Nova walked in front of Rinko and Hanako with her ice spear in her hand and said, "I will get what I came here for, but you, Kamiya, will pay the price for trying to control me." Before Kamiya could answer, Nova froze the ground around Kaya, Shiki and Kamiya, then Nova slammed the spear into the ice and kicked Kamiya towards the wall. Shiki used her darkness magic to break the ice at her feet and dash towards Rinko. Hanako summoned her endless chain and started to spin it around; she started to throw the chain towards Kaya. Rinko used her twin pistols to fire bullets towards Shiki. Kaya broke out of the ice and used her blood magic to dodge the endless chain. Kamiya started to fire power spells towards Nova, but it had no effect; Nova kept destroying and freezing her magic spells. Nova chased Kamiya outside where it was dark and raining. Kamiya's hat flew off, and he started laughing like crazy and said, "You figured out who I work for, but it's no use; you can't stop the puppeteer." Nova stood there quietly, and she started to gather ice around her arms to fight Kamiya in hand-to-hand combat. With her arms covered in ice, she summoned her spear, and her body temperature lowered; the temperature was so low you could see every time Nova took a breath. Nova was ready to fight.
