When Kamiya and Mei escape from the fight against Nova. Mei transported them to the birthplace of the universe itself, the index. Mei healed Kamiya's wounds from the fight with Nova. Once she was fully healed, Mei started yelling at Kamiya, shouting and hitting her, and she said, "Kamiya, you know how important getting Nova on our side is. Now we are going to have to force her on our side now." Kamiya took the beating and agreed with Mei and said, "I know without a fragment's power the index will fade away and the magical energy from the birthplace of the universe will be released, and it will consume everything." Mei already knew this information, but she also knew how powerful Nova and the others would get after their training with Jade. Mei said, "No matter if we bring Nova here by force, it will be her choice if she wants to help us or not." Mei told Kamiya that the index has e powers that she has access to. Mei said, "The first power is to see into the future. The second is to imprison a powerful entity, and the third is the control over all the index power that only the fragments can access." Kamiya told Mei to use the index's power to see into the future to see what Nova's choices were. Mei agreed, and she stood in the centre of the index with her eyes shut. All the magical symbols on the flow glowed, and the index showed me 2 possible futures. When the index kicked her out of its power, Mei was struggling to breathe, but before she caught her breath, Kamiya rushed over to help and said, "Master, are you alright?" Mei caught her breath and said, "I saw two futures: one where the world was balanced and glowing with light and the other one was the world full of chaos and the index and half the universe were destroyed." Kamiya couldn't believe it and said, "What's the plan now, Master?" Mei stood up and said, "First we unseal my true body, and then we will rip the fragment out of Nova's soul."
