"Dante and Iris may not be with us…but they're together at the very least. They've had the most time together between the five of us, so if anything…"
"Their chances of survival will be higher. If what was said about the starless class is true, then they've been training together since day one of the semester." Azuri followed with her arms crossed, thinking logically about the two students' chances to find a way to survive.
Jarrett looked back at the place where the two fell and grimaced at the thought. He ran his fingers through his hair in a flustered state, trying to hear out what the two were saying, yet couldn't fathom the possibility of them being safe, especially in such an unknown area to the students with a beast like they saw.
"But they're starless. There's no way they could handle such unknowns! You'd need experienced adventurers or something to deal with what's down there!"
Azuri's eyes lowered at the thoughts. It wasn't like she didn't get where he was coming from in a logical standpoint. Though her whims had other ideals, especially after getting a sense for the type of people Dante and Iris were.
"Though that may be true…Dante and Iris seemed more capable than ever during our run, not only in a team setting. Didn't you see their fight against the lizardmen?"
"That's–"
"They're more than capable. If anything…with him there, they can buy enough time for us to find them."
He knew she was right, he'd done nothing but doubt the ability of the two merely because of their rank. As much as he'd tried to ignore it in his mind, he knew they were capable, and competent. At times, even more so than himself. Nolan walked up to the two as he gathered his belongings and the leftover materia along the ground.
"So what should we do…look around the dungeon for them…or go maybe try to find a professor…?"
"No…we're going to part ways for now…our dungeon walk is over. Azuri said as she took the materia out of her pouch and began dropping it into the hands of Nolan. He fumbled with the sheer amount before storing it safely in his own pouch. This confused Jarrett as he realized what she said.
"What do you mean we're finished? We still have to reach the goal before the time limit…don't you think we can find them and finish?"
"We will find them…but we must expend our resources and intel on the situation. That's why you two are going back outside to notify the professors. I'm going to search for another party to help look for those two."
"Huh!? There's no freaking way I'm just leaving you to do that on your own."
"I'm the leader, and this is my order based on the situation at hand, you have mana to spare, use it to rush back to the start and tell the outside of the situation…I've noticed for some time our orb hasn't been around since we entered this floor."
