Core!
Foundation!
This is the true core of a god. If even these are altered, can that god still be considered the same god? Or rather, it's akin to switching one's path. If the switch is successful, then everything naturally becomes simple. But what if the transformation doesn't go well?
Hehehe...
The outcome is self-evident. Death and fear will completely shroud that individual. The same applies to gods—they will face ultimate destruction.
Hades understood this clearly. He knew that he had to hold firm to his essence and core foundation. Any careless changes, even to the path he had forged thus far, would lead to its complete dissolution.
Hades kept himself calm, without much emotional fluctuation, maintaining an endless tranquility.
"However..."
After calming his mind, Hades began contemplating another issue—perhaps the most fundamental and crucial one: what would his future hold? This was undeniably the most important and foundational matter, one that left no room for doubt.
The Ancient God!
The God-King!
These two paths lay before him. Hades now needed to consolidate his path as a God-King, advancing step by step with careful deliberation. This was of utmost importance.
No matter who you are, even standing at the pinnacle of the God-King's path, you cannot afford any negligence. Any carelessness could be fatal. This is a certainty beyond question.
Hades was all too aware of this. With a little thought, he understood how to handle it. The foundation—this was the core, the most important aspect.
The stronger Hades became, the more he realized how critical this foundation was. It was the essential core point! Especially when he reached the peak of the God-King's path, he truly understood what it represented. The gap between the pinnacle of the God-King and the Ancient God was immense, far beyond what could be explained with a few words.
However...
One thing was certain: this foundation was no trivial matter. A stable and solid foundation was the key. Without it, everything could collapse.
"Erebus."
"Nyx."
Hades suddenly spoke softly. His voice was light, but it carried great weight.
Erebus and Nyx, the Ancient God couple, stepped out slowly from the Gates of the Underworld. For the time being, they were not residing within the Underworld.
The Realm of Darkness!
This was the dwelling place created by Erebus and Nyx.
To be precise, it was a place they casually created. In essence, it didn't mean much, and certainly wasn't of fundamental importance.
It was just their residence, and in truth, they had long wanted to move into the Underworld, to live a peaceful, retired life.
Erebus and Nyx were truly pleased. In Hades, they saw the opportunity for transcendence.
For this Ancient God couple, they had a very clear self-awareness. An Absolute God? No matter how hard they tried, even if they had eternity, they could never reach that level. It was beyond their potential.
In other words, this Ancient God couple had no chance of advancing further. Maybe there was a chance, but it was incredibly slim. Achieving true success was nearly impossible.
Yet, despite this, the couple had another option—to transcend the limits of the Mythical World by entering the Underworld and following Hades in surpassing the world's boundaries.
This was the best outcome. The fate of the Ancient Gods was deeply intertwined with the Mythical World, and the possibility of transcending it was nearly non-existent. This was why Gaia chose reincarnation—she could not break free.
In reality, when a god's power reaches Gaia's level as a Creator God, leaving the world isn't impossible. But the ties are so deep that it's nearly impossible to sever them.
This is the crux of the matter. The same applies to the two Ancient Gods; their only choice was to follow Hades.
However, for now, the Ancient God couple remained busy. Although they longed to retire in the Underworld, many matters still required their attention.
For now, it was better this way. It was critical not to leave hastily, as it would cause unnecessary problems.
Erebus and Nyx understood this clearly. They knew the Underworld still needed them.
"Hades," Erebus said with a smile, "you've succeeded."
"Hmm."
Hades nodded calmly. "Though there were some disturbances, I have still stepped onto this path. The changes within one's heart—those are only discovered through oneself."
Hades remained calm and clear-headed. He knew that any inner transformation had to come from within. Outsiders? They were of no consequence. Inner changes cannot be explained or influenced by anyone's words.
It was an issue of mindset, something no one else could change or fully comprehend. This was the true core, and Hades understood it well.
Because of this, even though Erebus and Nyx could see the issue, they could do nothing to help. It was something Hades had to realize and address himself.
No matter what outsiders say, if the heart does not change, their words are utterly meaningless!
