Chapter 294 - Gasper Vladi

Chapter 294 - Gasper Vladi

After delivering his message, Sirzechs left ORC and teleported back to the Underworld.

Rias was visibly elated.

The tripartite peace talks being held at Kuoh Academy were expected, and she'd prepared mentally for the responsibility.

But Sirzechs's approval to unseal her other Bishop was an unexpected joy.

In the past, this Bishop's power had led Sirzechs to order his sealing for safety.

Now, with Rias's strength, Sirzechs deemed her capable of managing him.

The prospect of reuniting with a long-sealed companion and bolstering her peerage's strength filled Rias with excitement.

After the Holy Sword incident, she'd realized the urgency of increasing her power.

"Was there a Bishop before me?," Asia's curiosity piqued as a fellow Bishop in Rias's peerage.

"Do we get a new companion?" Xenovia asked, then corrected herself.

"No, that person's our comrade all along, right?"

"What kind of person is this Bishop?" Irina wondered.

"Must be insanely strong to be sealed by a Maou's order!"

"Well…" Rias trailed off, rubbing her temples with a mischievous smile.

"She's very shy. I hope you'll all get along with him."

"Mahiro, aren't you curious?" Akeno asked, her mischievous smile glinting as she leaned close to him.

"This Bishop looks like an adorably cute girl!"

"If she were at school, she might outshine even Koneko-chan and Asia-chan."

"Not really," Mahiro shooked his head.

"Eh?" Akeno blinked, scrutinizing him with mock suspicion.

She'd expected a typical high school boy to show at least some intrigue about a adorable "cute girl," but Mahiro seemed unfazed.

"No matter how cute she is, she can't compare to you."

"Mahiro-kun, full marks for that one!" Akeno beamed, her eyes sparkling with delight at the compliment.

"But, just between us," she whispered, adopting a conspiratorial tone, "though Gasper looks like a one-in-a-million beauty, don't get any ideas."

"You'd regret it."

Mahiro rolled his eyes.

Akeno's theatrics were unnecessary.

Familiar with story, he knew exactly who Rias's other Bishop was—a detail he wasn't about to share.

Expectations from Asia and the others didn't sway him.

"Don't worry, I'm not interested," Mahiro said.

"With you around, no one else catches my eye."

"Oh? Are you saying I'm less charming than her?" Akeno teased, her smile widening.

"Of course not," she answered herself, her gaze sultry.

Leaning closer, she murmured in a voice only they could hear, "Mahiro-kun, want to visit my room tonight and test if you can resist my charm?"

Mahiro felt a twinge of hesitation but kept his composure.

Led by Rias, the group headed to the deepest part of the old schoolhouse.

The unlit corridor stretched into darkness, its walls etched with seals.

The classroom at the end was barricaded with rune-covered barriers, resembling a haunted house from a horror film.

The group advanced cautiously.

"Xenovia, it's creepy," Irina said, clinging to Xenovia's arm, her eyes darting nervously to the rune-laden door.

"It does feel eerie, like a haunted house from those old movies," Xenovia pondered.

"Irina, what if a Sadako-like spirit jumps out and kills us all, staging it as an accident no one would suspect?"

"N-No way!" Irina squeaked.

She'd once been a holy sword wielder, yet ghosts still unnerved her.

"You're Devils now. Ghosts should fear you," Koneko said from behind, her deadpan tone cutting through their panic.

"Oh, right," Irina looked at ease as she remembered her new nature.

Devils outranked mere ghosts.

"Here we are," Rias announced, stopping before the sealed door.

"'She's' been living here, sealed away. The barriers unlock automatically at midnight, but she's never left."

Rias began dismantling the seals, carefully peeling away the spell-like wards while channeling magic to loosen the surrounding runes.

The others pitched in, and the barriers were soon dispelled.

Rias pushed open the door.

"Don't—aaaah!" a piercing shriek erupted from within before the door fully opened.

Rias sighed and stepped inside, her voice gentle as she began to soothe the occupant.

The group followed, spotting a figure in the dimly lit classroom: a petite, blonde individual dressed in a frilly, loli-style outfit, radiating an almost ethereal charm.

Mahiro had to admit, from appearances alone, the figure was strikingly captivating.

After a series of comedic mishaps, the former Dhampir—Gasper Vladi—was reluctantly coaxed out of the sealed classroom.
