Chapter 293 - Level Up Card

Chapter 293 - Level Up Card

Akeno stepped forward, took the Level up card from Mahiro's hand, and passed it to Rias.

Rias examined the card curiously.

Unlike any thing she'd seen, it lacked the distinct aura typical of artifacts.

To the untrained eye, it resembled a finely crafted trinket, betraying no hint of power.

"How do I use it?" Rias asked.

Though intrigued by its unremarkable appearance, she trusted Mahiro's judgment implicitly.

"Just tear it in half," Mahiro said nonchalantly.

The system designated the card for use, and its activation was deliberately simple.

Rias gripped the card and snapped it in two.

Instantly, it dissolved into motes of light, surging into her body.

Her aura flared dramatically.

The sudden spike in demonic power overwhelmed her control, and a crimson glow erupted, breaking free like a breached dam.

The unleashed energy whipped through the room, scattering papers and rattling furniture.

Rias's presence soared.

From her initial High Class, it climbed rapidly, peaking at the top of High Class, then shattering that ceiling to reach Ultimate Class status.

As she crossed into Ultimate Class, the growth slowed.

The chaotic demonic power calmed as Rias adapted.

The frenzied airflow vanished.

"I feel incredible," Rias said, her voice brimming with delight.

The Power of Destruction flickered in her hand like a flame, mirroring her exhilaration.

Typically, such a rapid power increase would bring severe side effects—potentially even physical collapse.

Yet Rias felt no discomfort, only the vibrant surge of demonic power coursing through her.

She could sustain a prolonged battle at this level without strain.

This was no surprise.

The Level up card was designed for seamless enhancement.

Mahiro had spent weeks in Danmachi to earn it.

"I thought it'd take years to reach this level," Rias said softly.

"Mahiro-kun, thank you."

"No need for thanks," Mahiro replied with a warm smile.

"President, you're so strong now," Koneko said, her stoic face showing rare surprise.

"It's like the president's strength jumped to another dimension," Kiba said candidly.

"Before, I could at least put up a fight, even if I'd lose. Now, I'd be crushed."

"Rias, you've taken the lead again," Akeno eyes glinting with envy.

The church trio seemed less fazed, their focus elsewhere.

Jeanne watched with an unreadable expression.

"It's not that dramatic," Rias said, smiling modestly.

"But I am much stronger."

High Class Devils were already strong, but Ultimate Class Devils stood at the pinnacle of power and influence.

If she chose, Rias could now claim a noble title in the Underworld.

"How about a formal Rating Game against Riser Phenex sometime?" Rias proposed, her confidence soaring.

With her new strength, she felt ready to challenge Riser.

Though she'd nullified her engagement to him, it was Mahiro's victory over Riser that secured her freedom.

In the Underworld, her own reputation remained undervalued, and Rias sought to prove herself.

Mahiro's expression turned wry.

He'd not only defeated Riser but also "stole" his fiancée.

"Rias, are you declaring war on that annoying guy?" Akeno said, her smile carrying a dangerous edge.

"I'm itching for a fight myself."

"It'd be a good test of our strength," Kiba looked intrigued.

"A team battle unique to Devils," Xenovia said eagerly.

"I've been wanting to try one."

"Not yet," Rias nodded thoughtfully.

"After the holidays, we'll head to the Underworld and arrange it."

Night fell.

Sirzechs had promised to return, so the club members lingered after dinner, awaiting his arrival.

A glowing teleportation circle bearing the signature crest flared on the floor, and a commanding figure with crimson hair appeared.

"Good evening, everyone," Sirzechs greeted, his tone warm.

His gaze settled on Rias, and he sensed her aura.

A flicker of shock crossed his usually composed face.

Just this morning, Rias had been a High-Class m.

This leap in a single day was astonishing.

"Rias, your strength?" he asked.

"I'm an Ultimate-Class now," Rias confirmed.

"All thanks to Mahiro," she added, addressing her brother's unspoken question.

"I meant to visit sooner, but official duties kept me tied up. My apologies," Sirzechs said, turning to Mahiro with approval.

"It seems Rias chose well."

"Sirzechs-sama," Mahiro greeted politely.

"I'd prefer you call me brother, like Rias does."

"Brother, why the late visit?" Rias asked.

"It's about the tripartite peace talks," Sirzechs said, his tone growing serious.

"We've decided to hold the meeting at Kuoh Academy."

"So it's really happening here," Rias said, unsurprised.

"You expected this?" Sirzechs asked, intrigued.

The talks location had only been finalized recently among the leaders of the three faction.

"Mahiro predicted you might choose Kuoh Academy," Rias said honestly.

"I didn't expect it to come true."

Sirzechs's surprise deepened.

This generation's Red Dragon Emperor surpassed his predecessors in both strength and foresight.

"There's one more thing," Sirzechs continued.

"I was hesitant at first, but seeing your strength now, Rias, I'm confident you can handle it."

He paused.

"It's time to unseal your other Bishop. You should be able to control him now."
