" Cultivation fruits? They look so strange are they really edible ?" said Zyle commenting on the appearance of the fruits as he approached and examined them closely. There were 3 different types of fruits in a pile. One type of fruit was the shape of an apple with yellow patterns all around, it resembles miniature nimbus clouds. The second type was a blue-colored banana-shaped fruit with a cluster of red crescent lines, the shape of the crescent red lines was layered on top of each other making it look similar to the scales of a fish or dragon. The last one was a yellow pear-shaped fruit with blue polka dots. All of the fruits emitted a thin layer of white aura around them.
Suddenly, Zyle heard the sounds of something shifting, and it was happening almost everywhere in the shadows of the poorly lit area. An uneasy feeling came over Zyle, he felt as if he was not alone anymore. Zyle knew that if he overstay his unwelcome, he will be in a deadly situation if he was to get ambushed. Not only was he at a disadvantage for being in unfamiliar territory, but most of the area was also so dimly lit, he wouldn't be able to see where the attackers came from until it was too late. Although he had his flashlight which he used to flash at the area around him whenever possible to illuminate his surroundings. Something can be heard shifting around but whatever was there was moving too fast to see. Its quick movement was agile enough to avoid direct contact with the light. At one point, Zyle thought he caught the silhouette but it was too brief to be certain. Without hesitation, he opened his bag and quickly collected 10 of each fruit type, He stormed out of there, In the shadows of the cave, dozens of red eyes could be seen following Zyle's departure. Zyle retrace his steps out of the caves and passageway until he was back in the forest. Even then, Zyle continued to walk at a quick pace navigating his way back to camp. He only stopped to collect his belongings by the river and proceeded.
Finally, Zyle arrives at his camp, once he got through the gate, he places his belongings including the bag of fruits near the gate and took a deep sigh of relief.
"Phew! that was intense, if I am to ever go back there again I might need to be better prepared. My intuition told me I might have been surrounded by god knows what, if I stayed any longer I might have been a goner, I hope I lost them for good " said Zyle adjusting his posture. In front of Zyle stood a completed cabin that was twice as large as a typical cabin. Zyle was placed with himself and his accomplishment.
"I don't mean toot my own horns here but this cabin looks legit, am I awesome or what? " said Zyle admiring his accomplishment.
"Yes Master, you did a pretty good job " Intervened Obby
Zyle remembers the cultivation of fruits needs to be in direct light at all times, so he quickly grabs a wooden crate he made, then poured all the fruits from his bag into it. He then place it under direct sunlight, as long as he had some time of light shining on it. So even if it's just the moonlight, it shouldn't spoil too quickly. Afterward, Zyle walked toward the cabin's front door and push open the wooden door. Zyle didn't bother putting any locks on it or perhaps he didn't have the proper materials, who can say? The cabin was pretty sizable from the outside but looked even more spacious from the inside. The was a large wooden bed that Zyle had made, although it was still covered in leaves since Zyle had no mattress, at the very least he wasn't sleeping on the floor anymore so he thought to himself. He also had a secret compartment near the bed, which he made on the floor to hide his most precious belongings just in case someone was to come across the cabin. The hidden floor space was about 4 cubic feet and the door blended with the floor making it unnoticeable unless a thorough search was performed and the door requires a bit of effort to lift up. Zyle pressed against one of the log walls and it didn't even budge.
" The Gumula extract was really something," thought Zyle as he remembered mixing crushed Gumula powder into the water to make a super tough sticking glue. He applied it to every log during the construction process for extra support. The time was 24:00 pm, and the sun would be setting in an hour. Zyle quickly lit up a torch made out of Ropien vines wrapped around a stick which burns pretty well and takes a while to burn out. Although Ropien vines burn bright, it takes almost 20 hours for them to completely turn to ash. Outside of the gates were 2 parallel lines of torches that look like tiki torches creating a path that covers a distance that is over 30 feet long. Zyle made them during the time he spent constructing. Zyle's purpose for this was to have a source of light outside in the nighttime, especially the path that he would be taking often. As he lit them up one by one, almost in no time at all, he reach the last one and lit it up too. The difference this time, he knew that he was no longer alone. Luckily, Zyle's sword never leaves his side every time he steps out of the encampment for such situations as this. Zyle's cautious nature had helped him once again in another bind. Before he could fully grasp his current predicament, 3 of the unknown creatures moved too fast to see clearly and then leap at him furiously.
On pure instinct, Zyle quickly lifted his sword and performed a nearly perfect roundhouse slash, cutting through all 3 with relative ease. Quite a bit of blood splashed on Zyle's chest and arms and by his feed, where the 3 creatures cut into 6 halves. Entrails and guts were visibly and slowly pouring out of the collapsed bodies. Zyle adjusted his mindset, and he was now Battle Ready...
