Somewhere on a world called Earth, there was a school. Deep in the middle of class, one person stood out—not for brilliance or discipline, but for his total lack of attention. His name was Wes Walker, a raven-black-haired boy with sharp brown eyes. With a goofy grin stretched across his face, he was currently sitting at his desk, totally immersed in his handheld console, blasting virtual monsters in a loud video shooting game.
The classroom buzzed with murmurs and lectures, but Wes? He was too busy laughing at the carnage he was causing in the game.
"BOOM! Headshot! Haha! Take that, you slime-covered ogre!"
Blam-blam-blam! He mashed buttons rapidly. "Oh no, not the lava boss again! You think you're tough?! Not today, molten meatball!"
BOOM!
"Wes, what are you even doing...?" a nearby classmate whispered.
"Is he seriously playing another shooting game during class again?" a girl muttered from the left row.
"He's got no shame," someone else chuckled. "That's kinda impressive."
"He's gonna get yelled at... again," a guy from the back smirked.
Wes continued. "Yes! Triple kill! Who's the boss now?!"
Suddenly, a loud, stern voice echoed across the classroom.
"Wes Walker!"
Wes didn't even flinch.
"Put that blasted game down and pay attention to the class! This is the third time this week!" the teacher yelled, veins nearly popping from his forehead. His arms were folded tight, and his face screamed exasperation.
Wes looked up, grinned, and said casually, "Just five more minutes, teach. I'm about to beat this boss."
The teacher's jaw dropped. The class erupted into laughter.
"Unbelievable," a student chuckled.
"This guy's a menace," another one whispered.
"Honestly, it's annoying—but kinda funny too."
"He's a walking cartoon character."
Two rows behind Wes, a crimson-haired girl with piercing emerald-green eyes rolled her eyes hard. Her long hair was tied into a high ponytail, held together with a black ribbon.
Scarlett Hayes, Wes' childhood best friend.
"Idiot," she muttered with a tsundere-style scowl, folding her arms tightly.
Before the teacher could launch another verbal missile, the bell rang.
RRRRIIINNNGGG!!!
"Alright, students. Time to go home. See you all tomorrow," the teacher grumbled, clearly defeated.
Chairs scraped the floor, backpacks zipped, and conversations sprang up.
"I'm gonna hit the arcade."
"Homework first, then gaming."
"Wanna hang out later?"
Wes, however, remained in his seat, still gaming, laughing to himself.
"Boom! Another one down! These monsters don't stand a chance! This is peak gaming. Who needs math when I've got missiles?"
Suddenly, a loud yell snapped him out of his digital glory.
"YOU IDIOT!!"
WHAM!
Wes felt a solid, balled fist slam down on his head.
"OUCH!! WHAT THE HELL?!" he shouted, clutching his head. He looked up and saw Scarlett, standing above him with a very annoyed expression.
"Idiot!" she barked, and smacked him again.
"OW! What was THAT for?!"
"Stop being an idiot and start paying attention in class!"
Wes dramatically threw his arms up. "But video games are important! School is... school!"
A dark aura began radiating off Scarlett as she cracked her knuckles.
Wes noticed it. "Oh crap... she's powering up..."
Sweat dripped from his forehead.
"Please, Scarlett! You're so beautiful! Like, the most beautiful woman I've ever seen! Don't hurt me!"
Scarlett blushed furiously. "D-Don't embarrass me, YOU IDIOT!"
BAM!
She hit him again. Wes dropped to the floor groaning.
"It hurts... You're a monster..."
Her eyes narrowed. "What. Did. You. Call. Me?"
Wes panicked. "I-I mean you're a beautiful queen! The most majestic of them all!"
Scarlett sighed. "That's what I thought, idiot."
He climbed back to his feet, rubbing his head.
"Your strength has definitely leveled up..."
"Let's go home, idiot."
"Alright, alright."
They exited the school and began walking through the streets of the city. The sun hung low, casting a golden hue over the buildings. Stores lined the sidewalks, people bustled past, and birds fluttered across electric wires.
Wes stretched his arms, taking in the fresh breeze.
"Mmm… Nothing like fresh air and head trauma to start your afternoon."
Scarlett huffed. "You're impossible."
"Sooo… what are you gonna do when you get home?" Wes asked.
"Homework. Maybe read. Unlike you, I don't waste every hour on a console."
"Pfft. Reading is fun, but nothing beats the rush of dodging missiles and sniping cyberdragons."
"Cyberdragons? Seriously?"
"It's a real game! Top ten downloads this month!"
Scarlett rolled her eyes. "You're hopeless."
"Come on, Red Blaze. Admit it. You're curious."
She scowled. "Don't call me that!"
But a faint blush colored her cheeks.
"You like it. I can tell."
"Do not."
"Do too."
They both chuckled, walking in sync. For a moment, all seemed light and peaceful.
As they approached the crosswalk, the city buzzed around them—cars honking in the distance, street vendors shouting their deals, music echoing faintly from a nearby cafe.
Then—
HONK!
A speeding truck blazed toward them.
They didn't see it.
Wes, in mid-laugh, suddenly realized.
Is this it...? My final moment...? I hope... if there's another world... she's there too...
Then—
Black.
Silence.
...
Moments later, Wes's eyes fluttered open.
A breathtaking starlit sky stretched across an unfamiliar horizon.
He groaned. "Where... am I...?"
The grass beneath him was soft and glowing faintly. Trees shimmered with blue and silver leaves. Giant flowers swayed gently, releasing trails of golden pollen into the night air. Strange floating stones hovered around like satellites. Fireflies danced in slow motion.
Beside him, Scarlett stirred.
"Scarlett... you okay?"
She opened her eyes, blinking. "Wes...? Where the hell are we...?"
"I... I don't know. This isn't Earth. That's for sure."
They looked around—open meadows of glowing plants, crystal-clear rivers running with sparkles, and in the far distance, a floating castle surrounded by hovering islands.
"Did we... die?" Scarlett asked.
"I mean, either that or we're in some trippy dream after eating expired cafeteria chili."
Scarlett frowned. "You're not helping."
"Hey, I'm just trying to keep the mood light. Also, we might be isekai'd. You know, like those anime you always say you don't watch but secretly love."
"Idiot..." she muttered, standing up and brushing herself off.
Wes stood too and looked around again. "Honestly though... this place is... kinda beautiful. Like fantasy-RPG final-level beautiful."
"It does look like something out of a game..."
"See? You're getting into it already. Next thing you know, we'll have magic powers."
"You'd probably use yours to play video games."
"No! I'd use it to beat every boss in every game—WITH MAGIC!"
Scarlett snorted. "You're so dumb."
"But charming, right?"
She rolled her eyes but didn't answer.
Suddenly, a sweet voice echoed:
"You two have awakened."
They turned quickly.
A stunning woman sat on a throne before them, floating above the grass, radiating with divine presence. Her long silver hair glowed like moonlight, and her eyes shimmered with stardust.
Wes's eyes widened. "Who... who are you?!"
Wes and Scarlett stood in stunned silence, their eyes wide and jaws slack as they beheld the radiant woman before them.
She was breathtaking—an ethereal beauty who looked as if she were sculpted from the stars themselves. Her long, flowing silver-white hair shimmered like moonlight cascading down her back. Her eyes, a swirl of radiant gold and violet, glowed softly like twin galaxies. She wore a pristine white and gold gown that floated around her body like silk woven from stardust. Behind her, a floating halo of shifting light circled gracefully, radiating a divine aura.
She giggled, her voice like wind chimes carried on a breeze. "Me? I am Lady Seraphina Lumeria, the Goddess of Light and Rebirth."
Wes and Scarlett's minds exploded in confusion.
"Did she just say goddess?" Wes whispered.
"She did!" Scarlett replied, her voice cracking.
They turned to each other in disbelief.
"We're talking... to a goddess..." Wes said, blinking.
"Which means... we really did die...?" Scarlett muttered.
They both turned to Seraphina, then back at each other.
"This is really like an anime," Wes declared dramatically. "It's totally isekai life!"
Scarlett stuttered, "W-Why are we here?"
Wes followed with, "Y-Yeah! Did we do something wrong, Goddess? Was it because Scarlett is a violent monster?!"
Scarlett's eyes burned with fury. "SHUT THE HELL UP!!"
WHAM!
She smacked him on the head so hard he dropped to the ground, rolling around dramatically.
"OWWW! MY HEAD!" Wes wailed. "Okay, maybe I deserved that... but not full power! I swear I heard a bone crack!"
"That's for calling me a monster, you idiotic hyena!"
"You hit like one!" Wes groaned.
SMACK!
"OW! What was that for?!"
"For breathing stupidly! You drama-lizard!"
"Drama-lizard?! That's not even a real insult!"
"It is now!"
Wes clutched his head again. "You're a monster! A crimson-haired, rage-powered monster!"
THUMP!
"YAAAGH!" Wes rolled again.
"Keep talking, and I'll promote you to flattened pancake!"
"Scarlett the Pancake Princess of Punch-ville," Wes muttered.
WHACK!
"Say that again and I'll send your soul to a second afterlife, you walking meme!"
"You're lucky I don't have my game console right now!"
"You're lucky I haven't broken your skull—yet!"
"Oh, so violent, my queen! Truly elegant!"
POW!
"Idiot!"
Their yelling and smacking echoed through the glowing meadow, making even the floating flowers tremble. All the while, Seraphina watched with a soft smile, her fingers gently covering her mouth as she giggled.
Such energy... such connection. Their chaos is strangely beautiful, she thought.
A soft cough interrupted them.
"Ahem."
Wes froze mid-insult, Scarlett mid-punch. They both slowly turned toward Seraphina.
"Are you two done?" she asked politely, though her amused expression made it clear she was thoroughly entertained.
"It was her fault!" Wes shouted immediately, pointing.
"Excuse me?!" Scarlett fired back. "He's the one running his mouth like an anime clown!"
"Me?! I was being respectful until she started swinging like a boss fight!"
"You called me a monster!"
"Because you ARE one!"
"Take it back or I'll show you what a real monster looks like!"
"You see what I mean, Goddess?! She's terrifying!"
"You provoke me on purpose, don't act innocent!"
"Do I look innocent? I'm adorable!"
"You look like a gremlin who escaped a gaming basement!"
"You fight like a tsundere with anger issues!"
"BECAUSE I AM ONE!"
"Lady Seraphina, please have mercy! I didn't mean to summon the demon queen!"
"I'LL SHOW YOU DEMON QUEEN!"
Seraphina clapped her hands gently. "Children."
They both froze again.
Wes and Scarlett bowed quickly, nearly falling over themselves.
"We're so sorry, Lady Seraphina!" Scarlett exclaimed.
"Please don't smite us!" Wes pleaded.
"It was totally her—"
"—his fault entirely!"
They glared at each other again.
"You literally tackled me for breathing!"
"You insulted a goddess in the same sentence you insulted me!"
"Hey, priorities!"
"I'm going to turn your spine into a noodle."
"If you do, I'll haunt you with puns from the after-afterlife."
Seraphina's giggle fluttered through the air. "I won't hurt you. In fact, I'm the one who brought you here."
Their bickering stopped.
"You brought us...?" Scarlett asked.
"Why?" Wes echoed. "Why us? We're not anything special."
Seraphina's smile softened. "I brought you both here for two reasons. First, to give you a second chance at life... and second, because I saw something in both of you—something even I, a goddess, cannot fully understand. A power hidden deep within you."
Wes's mouth hung open. "A second chance in another world...? Like a real isekai! This is too crazy to be real!"
Scarlett's voice grew serious. "What kind of world are you sending us to? And what power do you think we have?"
The goddess's gaze grew distant, as if peering through time itself. "The world is called Aetherion. It is a land of magic, of swords and monsters, of kingdoms rising and falling. And you... the power within both of you is unknown to even me. But I know it is extraordinary."
Wes blinked. "Wait, so how do we get these powers and skills? Do we have to level up or something?"
Seraphina smiled with a playful gleam in her eye. She raised her hand and snapped her fingers.
WHOOSH!
A massive violet screen materialized in the air before them, glowing with swirling runes and cascading light.
Wes's eyes sparkled. "WOAH... this is just like a video game interface!"
Scarlett squinted. "There's a whole list of classes..."
The screen shimmered as it displayed rows of names:
[Class Selection Panel]
Warrior
Mage
Archer
Paladin
Assassin
Summoner
Elementalist
Beast Tamer
Shadow Monk
Spellblade
Bard
Alchemist
Spirit Walker
Blood Knight
Chrono Warden
Arcane Duelist
Magic Gunslinger
Magic Swordswoman
Wes's jaw dropped. "I WANT TO BE ALL OF THEM!"
Scarlett folded her arms. "You can't even handle one class without getting distracted."
"I can if it has cool explosions and magic combos!"
"You're going to pick the flashiest one and ignore the stats."
"That's called style, thank you very much."
Seraphina chuckled softly. Then her tone shifted, a serene wisdom flowing through her words. "The class you choose will determine the foundation of your magic, abilities, and growth. In Aetherion, power flows through the Arcanum System—a sacred code of magic that aligns with your essence."
Wes leaned forward, eyes wide. "Arcanum System? That sounds super cool."
"Each individual is given a Class Core—a magical imprint that bonds with their soul. Through this core, you'll receive access to spells, techniques, and enhancements unique to your path."
Scarlett's eyes narrowed thoughtfully. "So magic is more than just learning spells?"
Seraphina nodded. "Yes. Magic is emotion, intent, memory, and will. It is shaped not only by what you know, but who you are."
She lifted her hand and spoke gently: "Aetherion recognizes three forms of casting—Incantation, Emotion Resonance, and Silent Channeling."
"Wait—three ways to cast?" Wes tilted his head.
"Incantation is the traditional spell chant. Emotion Resonance is when your feelings amplify your abilities—often unstable, but very powerful. Silent Channeling is advanced—pure willpower focus."
Scarlett tapped her chin. "So someone with strong emotion could burst out stronger spells unintentionally?"
"Exactly," Seraphina said. "There are even Signature Arts—custom abilities born from your soul. Rare, powerful, and personal."
"Like... a Limit Break?!" Wes gasped.
"In a sense, yes," the goddess giggled.
"Okay... now THIS is where the fun begins."
Wes stared at the floating violet screen. Without hesitation, he reached forward and pressed his finger against the glowing words: Magic Gunslinger.
Scarlett hesitated only for a moment before stepping up beside him. Her emerald eyes scanned the screen until she tapped on Magic Swordswoman.
A rush of light burst from the screen.
Wes felt a warmth surge through him, as if every nerve was igniting with potential. "Whoa... this... this is perfect!" he grinned. "Magic Gunslinger?! That's literally my dream class! Ranged, stylish, elemental—everything I ever wanted in a character."
Scarlett looked at her hands, now faintly glowing. "Magic Swordswoman... it feels powerful. Controlled. Elegant. Just like me."
"You mean scary and sharp," Wes teased.
She elbowed him hard. "And deadly."
"Definitely that too," he muttered, rubbing his side.
"You picked that class just because it's like your video game avatar," she said, rolling her eyes.
"Not true," Wes shot back, smirking. "I picked it because I was born to wield style and explosions."
Seraphina giggled, covering her mouth. "You two really are amusing."
Wes blinked. "What's so funny, Lady Seraphina?"
The goddess smiled warmly. "I knew you would choose those classes. It's embedded in your potential. The way you interact, the rhythm of your souls—it aligns with these paths."
Scarlett blinked. "You... knew ahead of time?"
"How could you know that?" Wes added. "We didn't even know ourselves until now."
"Because," Seraphina said, her gaze soft, "divinity sees more than possibility. It sees truth hidden even from yourselves."
Wes and Scarlett exchanged looks.
"Okay, that's both beautiful and spooky," Wes said.
"So... what now?" Scarlett asked.
Seraphina's smile brightened. "I have gifts for both of you."
"Gifts?!" Wes and Scarlett said in unison.
"Really?! What kind of gifts?!" Wes practically bounced.
"Wait—it's not going to explode in our faces, right?" Scarlett narrowed her eyes.
Seraphina giggled again, then gently snapped her fingers.
Two brilliant lights materialized before them, hovering in the air.
The light in front of Scarlett took shape first—a longsword emerged, sleek and radiant. The double-edged blade gleamed with an inner fire. Its guard was shaped like twin wings—one feathered, one ablaze. The metal was a deep crimson-tinted silver, with the sigil of the goddess engraved subtly along the center. The grip was wrapped in red dragon-hide leather.
Scarlett's eyes widened. "It's beautiful... This feels like it was made for me."
"It was," Seraphina said. "That sword was forged from Embersteel, a rare mythical ore that can only be shaped in the presence of a warrior's unspoken resolve."
Scarlett blinked. "That's... incredible."
"That's like a soul weapon," Wes whispered. "So cool!"
"It's more than cool," Scarlett said. "It's a promise."
Seraphina turned to Wes and smiled. "And for the Magic Gunslinger..."
The second light shimmered, coalescing into a sleek six-shot revolver. It glowed faintly with celestial etchings. The frame was silver and midnight black, covered in glowing runes. The barrel was slightly extended, engraved with dragon wings and elemental sigils. Its grip was smooth obsidian, wrapped in soft fire-dyed leather. A single gem-like core sat at the center of the cylinder—currently glowing a muted blue.
"This... is... AWESOME!" Wes shouted. "Look at this thing! It's like a boss drop from a mythic raid!"
Seraphina's voice lowered reverently. "That weapon is named Reveria. She is the first and only of her kind—crafted not by hands, but by divinity and desire. She is your partner, your weapon, your will made manifest. Speak to her. Respect her. And she will answer with power the world has never seen."
Wes's eyes widened. "Wait, what?! You named her?"
Scarlett crossed her arms. "That revolver has a name... and a personality?"
"But there is one thing," Seraphina added.
Wes tilted his head. "Yeah? What's that?"
Seraphina smiled—too wide.
Scarlett narrowed her eyes. "Why are you smiling like that...?"
"Yeah, that's your ominous smile!" Wes added nervously.
Seraphina stepped closer. "That weapon you see floating in front of you… is not just a tool, Wes Walker. Her name is Reveria... and once, she was a goddess."
The world froze.
"A... a what now?!" Wes gasped.
"A goddess?!" Scarlett echoed, stunned.
"Long before this world had kings, before adventurers drew blades or demons crawled from the dark, there existed a goddess of judgment and balance," Seraphina explained. "Reveria, Lady of the Final Word. She was neither cruel nor kind—but exact. Every war, every hero, every beast that crossed the line of chaos... she ended them. With one pull of her divine trigger, balance was restored."
Wes was speechless. A forgotten goddess sealed in a gun? That's... unreal.
"But the gods feared her," Seraphina continued. "They called her power too absolute, too final. No trials. No redemption. Just... truth. So they sealed her—not in chains, not in tombs—but in form. Her divinity was compressed, bound, and forged into the very weapon you are seeing now."
Scarlett's voice was quiet. "They sealed a goddess inside a revolver... that's insane."
Wes gulped. "And now I'm holding her? The other gods must really not like me."
Seraphina looked into Wes's eyes. "She has slept for eons, her soul watching worlds rise and fall from inside her prison of steel. And now, she stirs—not because you chose her... but because she chose you."
"She... chose me...?" Wes whispered.
"Yes. But make no mistake, Wes: Reveria is no mere gun. She is judgment made manifest. If you fail to wield her with heart and clarity... she will fire without you."
Wes shivered. "So... no pressure, huh. Just don't make the gun goddess angry. Got it."
Seraphina smiled again. "But there is hope. You, Wes, have the elemental affinity. With Reveria, you will be able to craft elemental bullets—fire, ice, lightning, and more. Your will shapes their form."
Wes beamed. "Elemental bullets?! YES! I'm going full fire-burst-mode-mage-cowboy!"
Scarlett smirked. "Don't blow yourself up, cowboy."
"No promises!"
The weapons suddenly glowed bright, returned to light, and then streaked into Wes and Scarlett's chests, disappearing into their bodies.
"WHOA!" Wes yelped.
"What the—?" Scarlett gasped.
"What just happened?!" Wes said, blinking.
"They are now bonded to your souls," Seraphina said. "Your weapons live within your hearts. Summon them by will."
Wes grinned. "That's sweet."
Scarlett took a breath. "What now?"
Seraphina stepped back. "Now... you will go to Aetherion, and begin your new life."
Wes and Scarlett looked at each other, then nodded.
"I'm ready," Scarlett said.
Wes clenched his fists. "Let's do this. Time to start our real adventure."
Seraphina smiled. "Good. I'm glad. I hope to see you both again one day."
"Goodbye, Lady Seraphina!" Scarlett said.
"Thanks for everything, sparkly goddess lady!" Wes waved.
Seraphina giggled. "Good luck, my Wes and Scarlett."
With a final snap of her fingers, a burst of light enveloped them.
They vanished.
...
In the next breath, Wes and Scarlett reappeared in a beautiful forest, full of glowing blue leaves, floating pollen, gentle sunlight, and birdsong echoing between trees.
Wes looked around. "Wow... this place is gorgeous."
"Definitely not Earth," Scarlett said with a small smile.
She turned to him. "Ready?"
Wes took a deep breath. The air was crisp and fresh.
His smile widened. "More than ever. Let the Magic Gunslinger adventure begin."
Before taking their first steps into the world of Aetherion, Wes suddenly paused. A curious thought sparked in his mind.
Wait... if this is a real isekai world... then that means...
He blinked and looked at his hand. "Huh... I wonder if the status screen is actually a thing here."
Scarlett turned her head. "What are you muttering about now, dork?"
Wes grinned, mischief in his eyes. "Just watch this. STATUS!"
With a faint chime, a violet holographic screen popped up in front of him.
"...IT WORKED?!" Wes shouted. "OH MY GODDESS, IT ACTUALLY WORKED!"
Scarlett stepped closer, her eyes wide. "You're serious?! That's... that's real?! You're not just some otaku dork?!"
"Correction—I'm an otaku dork with a status screen!" Wes said proudly.

"This... this is incredible," Scarlett whispered. "These powers are real. This sword... all of it."
Wes gave a wide grin. "You're like a walking anime heroine. I mean, the sword even levels up with your feelings."
"And you have a revolver that's an ex-goddess. Who's the trope now?"
"Point taken," Wes laughed. "We are so ready for this world."
Scarlett nodded. "Let's not waste time then. Let's start moving."
They turned, the lush forest stretching before them. The light shimmered between the trees, magical wildlife scurrying in the distance.
Wes stretched his arms, letting out a breath. "New world. New lives. Cool weapons. I'm all in."
Scarlett smiled, sword at her side. "Just don't fall behind, gunslinger."
"Race you to the next hill?"
"You're on."
Together, they stepped into the forest, the beginning of their new lives unfolding beneath their feet.
