The night grew deeper. After checking his class schedule, which was still early next month, Indra put down his smartphone and lay on his back, staring at the ceiling.
"Ugh, I can't sleep... time for a quick patrol or maybe scout a little...whatever..." Indra muttered.
He sat up and got out of bed. He walked to his suitcase and opened it, then pulled out a long, hooded jacket complete with a cowl. He stripped off his clothes and immediately put on the jacket. Then he changed his pants to black jeans and tucked his two sickles into the back of his waistband. Once ready, he transformed.
"Whoa... not yet. Walking around in this form is too noisy, and this isn't my own house. I'll transform on the rooftop later."
Indra changed back to his original form and walked to his bedroom door. He slowly opened the door and peeked out. It was already quiet outside. Indra slipped out and gently closed the door, then headed upstairs to the boarding house's rooftop. As he stepped out onto the roof,
"Hey!" someone called from behind.
Indra turned and saw Alex behind him, shirtless, wearing workout pants and barefoot.
"Hey!" Indra replied.
"What are you up to?" Alex asked.
"Getting some fresh air," Indra answered.
"Seriously? Getting fresh air wearing a jacket like that, with nothing underneath, and carrying sickles? You're gonna catch a cold," Alex countered.
"Well, you're not wearing a shirt yourself," Indra retorted.
"I'm training," Alex replied.
"Training this late at night? Really?" Indra shot back.
Both fell silent. After that, they walked to the middle of the rooftop without saying a word. Finally, they looked at each other.
"Honestly... what are you going to do?" they both asked at the same time.
"Hahahah... fine, I admit it, I'm going for a stroll," Indra replied.
"See, isn't it better to be honest? Me too," Alex said.
"Just the two of us?" Indra asked.
"Yeah... just the two of us," Alex answered.
"Hey!" a girlish but cute voice was heard from behind them.
Indra and Alex immediately turned around. They saw Nara already behind them, wearing her black jacket, a white inner shirt, a mask, and two mandau (traditional daggers) at her waist.
"Where are you guys going?" Nara asked.
"Getting some fresh air," Indra and Alex replied in unison.
"Lies! You think I didn't hear what you two were talking about ?" Nara countered.
"Alright, so? Wanna come?" Indra asked.
"Yup, but I can't fly, so give me a ride," Nara replied.
"But you flew against me this afternoon?" Indra asked.
"Oh, that was me entering the spirit world and then coming out again. Actually, I jump, not fly, but in the spirit world," Nara explained.
"Holy cow... jump... that's pretty cool....but exhausting," Indra replied.
"Alright, get on my back. If I go full tiger, I can fly," Alex said.
"Okay, cool... I'm in, hehe, can't sleep anyway," Nara replied.
"Yeah, yeah, let's go..." Indra replied, immediately transforming into a skeleton.
Alex instantly transformed into a giant tiger, and Nara climbed onto his back. But just as they were ready to launch,
"Hey, where are you all going?" a girl's voice asked from behind them.
"Oh, for heaven's sake..." Indra replied.
The three turned and saw Amanda and Shin, already ready to go. Amanda wore a jacket and a black tank top, carrying a pistol and a belt with many pouches hanging from it. Shin also wore a similar jacket to Amanda, though he kept his mask on.
"You wanna come too?" Nara asked.
"Of course... usually it's just Shin and I," Amanda replied.
"Alright, let's go," Indra replied in a terrifying voice.
Shin immediately floated like Superman, with Amanda on his back. As they were ready to fly,
"Wow, it's getting crowded..." a man's voice, equally terrifying, was heard.
Everyone turned and saw Diaz, already in half-bat form, wearing a suit and dress pants, like a boss.
"Dude, are you going to the office?" Nara asked.
"Well, this is just how my costume is," Diaz replied.
"So you wanna come too?" Amanda asked.
"Yup... you guys are so mean for not inviting me," Diaz replied.
"Come on, let's go, or we'll never leave," Indra urged.
"Where are you all going?" a head asked from in front of all of them.
"Waaaaaaaaa...." everyone screamed in unison.
"Fan... why do you always scare us?" Alex yelled in a terrifying voice.
"Sorry... where are you going? I heard a noise upstairs, I thought it was a thief. You guys are standing right above my room," Fani replied.
"Wanna come?" Indra asked.
"Okay, I'll come... where are you going anyway?" Fani asked.
"Just cruising... hurry up if you wanna come," Nara replied.
"Okay, wait, gotta change..." Fani replied.
Everyone was surprised because Fani's head remained in front of them. Suddenly, her body floated up behind her head, already wearing a black gown with long boots. Fani's head immediately reattached to her body, and she put on her neck collar. Everyone was stunned watching Fani adjust the direction of her own head by spinning it around.
"Among all of us, if I had to say who's the scariest, it's her," Indra muttered, pointing at Fani in front of him.
"Hey! So, are we going or not?" Fani asked.
"Okay, okay... let's go!" Amanda replied.
Shin immediately shot off, flying like Superman with Amanda on his back, followed by Indra, Fani, and Alex, who ran through the air with Nara riding on his back. Lastly, Diaz also soared into the sky. The six of them flew through the air, circling their living area and observing the capital's nighttime atmosphere. Finally, they moved towards a large residential area not far from their boarding house and saw a warehouse complex below. Suddenly, they saw a police car stopped in front of a warehouse. They paused in the air for a moment and watched two police officers talking to a stout man wearing a tank top in front of them.
Shin spoke to Amanda on his back. Amanda nodded, then turned to the others.
"The police suspect there's a drug factory inside the warehouse... want to check it out?" Amanda asked.
"Let's go... let's check," Indra replied.
"Who wants to go inside?" Fani asked.
"I will... wait a moment... Lex, lower down a bit..." Nara replied.
Alex ran down a little, and Nara immediately disappeared. In just a few minutes, Nara returned to Alex's back, who immediately ran up to the others.
"Yup, there's a factory inside, but it's in the back," Nara said.
"Okay, let's just wait for the police to leave first," Diaz replied.
"No need... " Indra descended slightly and pulled back his hood. Then he opened his mouth, and a thin white mist emerged from his mouth. Gradually, the mist thickened, and the entire warehouse seemed to be enveloped in white mist. Anyone inside the mist wouldn't be able to see anything. The two police officers immediately returned to their car, and the stout man went straight into the warehouse.
"Done... let's go," Indra said.
"You can do that?" Amanda remarked.
"Come on... what are we waiting for?" Diaz urged.
They immediately landed on the warehouse roof and looked inside through the ventilation. They saw many people inside working, putting a large number of pills into small plastic bags.
"Clearly a drug factory, let's go in," Alex urged, who had already transformed into a were-tiger form.
"Wait... what about Manda?" Indra asked.
"Don't worry, I can merge with Shin, but only for a maximum of 20 minutes. After that, we automatically separate," Amanda replied.
"20 minutes is more than enough. I'm enough on my own, really," Nara countered.
"Hehehe, true," Fani added.
"Alright... wait a moment, come on Shin..." Amanda said.
Shin immediately entered Amanda's body, causing Amanda's body to tremble. Then Amanda transformed; her face wore a mask, and two horns appeared on her head like Shin's. Her clothes also merged with Shin's clothes, her hair became disheveled, and her eyes turned bright red.
"Let's go in," Amanda said in a terrifying voice.
Everyone who saw her was stunned because Amanda turned out to be quite terrifying as well. Then, without further ado, the six of them broke through the roof and entered.
