Chapter 1 - The cute girl I met 1

Cute girl I met

A fierce battle is going on in the Capital of the Kingdom of Lanark.

He disappears in the fog, appears, and eliminates. By dashing, he sweeps through the enemy. Everyone is cheering for him.

He looks back and his team is in danger.

The people start talking. As the heat of the battle increases."Hey look, his teammate just disappeared in mid-air".

"What's happening, there is fog everywhere". One of the audience reacts

 Clack!

In the bushes, he hears someone. He glances at the bush locked into the person inside as he mutters," So you're the one eliminating my friends."

He figures out the certain movement in the bush as she is about to shoot and finds her.

"There you are "

.Swiss, she shoots!

"Where did he go?"She starts to talk to herself as she looks here and there for him.

"There you are," he looks at her as he is camouflaged in the mist.

"Who's there?" The girl gets scared she turns her head still looking for him

she gets chills as she hears again "Hey! Aren't you the one who is trying to kill me? "

A girl with pinkish-red hair, with a very fine-looking crossbow, an eye patch. He starts to notice by the way she was loading it, it cost mana to shoot.

He dashes and appears right when she is loading her rifle."You know what I won't kill u because your face, it's really pretty, I don't want to damage that beauty I am looking at," he smirks with a cute smile.

"What a fool," she muttered softly, aiming her crossbow as she loaded it. But then, the words he had said echoed in her mind. Her cheeks flushed a deep red just thinking about him.

Did I really hear that right? she wondered. He's not even that good-looking… so why say something like that on a battlefield?

Her heart pounded in her chest, and she felt a flush of warmth spreading through her body.

Lost in thought, she failed to notice an opponent sneaking up on her. Before she could react, she was eliminated.

The match ended abruptly. Kara quickly scanned the area, searching for someone.

"There you are! For such a small guy, you're pretty hard to find," he said as he hurried over.

He found the boy and asked, "Hey, kid — are you Mizuno?"

The boy looked up with curiosity. "Who might you be?"

"Sorry, I'm Kara," he replied with a smile. "I'm a big fan of your magic techniques. You're really good for someone so young. I thought maybe we could hang out sometime."

"That's quite an offer, but I think I'll pass," Mizuno said confidently.

Kara blinked in confusion at the quick refusal. Then Mizuno laughed and added, "I was just joking."

They quickly became friends.

"You're my first ever friend, you know?" Mizuno said, beaming with happiness.

"Yeah, your face tells me everything," Kara replied with a slight laugh.

"Oh, right… Dinner at my house," Mizuno muttered to himself.

Kara raised an eyebrow, "Oh? So, Mizuno, would you be interested in having dinner at my place since you're my first friend here?"

"Oh! That's what you meant — sure!" Kara's face brightened.

"Hey, is it okay if I call you big bro or just bro? You're way older than me, and it feels weird calling you by your name," Mizuno asked politely.

"Okay, why not if you're fine with it," Kara said, patting Mizuno on the back.

"Hey! Hey! That hurts!" Mizuno protested with a laugh.

Later, Kara came for dinner.

As he entered the house, Mizuno said, "You can leave your shoes there, and the slippers are by the door."

Kara glanced at the shoe rack. Quite a nice place. The culture here is similar to my home, actually.

He sat down, removed his shoes, and placed them carefully.

"So, you're from the Magic Kingdom too, Kara?" Mizuno asked.

Kara nodded. "Yes."

They stepped into the living room and messed around for a bit—watching TV and talking about their strategies.

"My sister always looked out for me. She said to bring any person who becomes your friend," Mizuno said.

Kara giggled. "She seems pretty thankful to anyone who becomes your friend, huh?"

Kara laughed. "But where is she? I haven't seen her at all. Maybe I should just go and say welcome," he joked.

"Sure, she went to the grocery shop. Must have already returned," Mizuno replied.

They walked out to check the shoes and noticed an extra pair. Suddenly, they heard a door close.

"Oh, I guess she's back," Mizuno said, looking toward the staircase where the door slammed.

"I guess she's already in her room," he added.

"Bro, I'll be back. You can talk to her too. She's friendly," Mizuno said before running toward the toilet.

Kara took a step onto the staircase.

Her name sounded familiar… I think I've heard it more than once, he thought.

He looked up at the door of her room and saw a sign hanging there—it read "Seka."

He moved closer to knock, but just as he was about to, a shout came from inside.

"That little coward! I'll kill him next time I see him! He fooled me into getting eliminated!" Seka's angry voice echoed.

Kara knocked, but there was no answer. His patience wore thin, and without a second thought, he opened the door.

He saw Seka inside.

He stared at her.

Her face turned bright red.

He started blushing hard, unable to speak, and just stood frozen.

In his mind, the scene of Seka changing clothes replayed—the cute face, the two-colored eyes.

They both watched each other, shocked by the awkward situation.

Seka's embarrassment quickly turned to tears.

Suddenly, she grabbed a metal vase and threw it at him.

The vase hit Kara hard, cutting his head.

Kara fainted.

He heard the sound of people talking. Kara opened his eyes.

"This is the guy you made friends with?!"

She looked at Kara with a pissed and embarrassed expression.

"So you're the one," she said in a slow, deadly tone.

"Hey, look, if you try that trick again, you're dead."

She gave Kara a menacing look, then noticed the wound from the vase.

"Sigh... Hey, come here."

She kindly led Kara to another room and pulled out a band-aid.

"Do you even realize it was my fault in the first place?"

Kara looked at her.

"Yeah, I know. Doesn't matter for now since you're hurt. But I'm still not happy you saw me li—"

She stopped talking and blushed, embarrassed.

"You tell anyone about this and I'll make sure to erase your memory."

She looked down.

"It might get worse otherwise," her voice slowly faded.

"Okay, yes ma'am!" Kara lifted up his hair.

"I hope you don't behave like this with just anyone," he said.

Seka looked at him.

"What do you mean?"

"Other people I meet wouldn't treat me this nicely, let alone even help my wounds."

Kara looked into her eyes.

"It's just… you remind me of someone I knew before."

She spoke softly, touching the eye she covered.

"Oh, like a childhood crush, am I right?" he giggled.

"Hey, it's not anything like that, so just shut up."

She blushed deeply, her face bright red, acting angry to hide it.

Seka noticed something glowing briefly on Kara's hand — some kind of text or a magic circle — before it disappeared the moment she blinked.

He looked into her eyes and stared for a moment.

"I like your eyes. They're so beautiful — a golden yellow and crystal blue."

She blushed even more, her head starting to steam from the compliment, unable to handle it.

"Hey, you alright?" Kara asked.

She suddenly passed out.
