"It's your turn, Cid. Jump already" Klein said, sounding annoyed
"Shut up."
"Dude, why'd you even come if you weren't gonna do it? I knew you couldn't handle skydiving."
"Ughh, just push him," the girl in the cockpit said. Her tone had that bitchy tone, like she was so over it.
"Wait, don't push me!" Cid practically glued himself to the inside of the plane
"I swear i had this weird dream last night," he said, breathing heavily. "Something bad's gonna happen."
Klein rolled his eyes . "You think you're gonna turn into Hulk or something? Dude, chill out."
"I'm serious it didn't feel like just a dream"
The girl finally stood up and walked over. "Oh my God. You think if you jump what? You'll grow 30meters tall and destroy the city?"
Cid didn't answer. He just looked freaked.
"To hell with this," she muttered.
Then she pushed him out.
Cid's scream got cut off by the wind as he fell. Klein and the girl leaned over the edge, watching.
"Did he pull the chute?" Klein asked.
"I don't know. Is he... fighting with it?"
"Do you think he'll turn to a taller Hulk?" Klein asked again.
The girl didn't answer but rolled her eyes.
Down below, Cid fumbled with the cord.
"Oh shit. The pin's stuck."
Panic should've hit him like a truck, but it didn't.
"I knew something bad would happen" he thought.
"But why I'm i not freaking out? I'm not even screaming."
He looked at the stuck pin again, pulled it hard. It didn't budge.
"Is this how i die?" he whispered "Cool,"
The wind roared in Cid's ears as he fell.
A strange giggle bubbled out of him.
"I didn't finish my anime backlog," he muttered "...hell i didn't even have sex yet"
He closed his eyes as he was about to hit the ground. His last words?
"What a fucked life?"
Darkness.
He suddenly heard a baby crying. Cid blinked or at least tried to.
"I'm i crying?" he thought to himself.
A woman was screaming. Men yelling. Something cold touched his skin, and then he was lifted.
"I really am a baby," he thought "is this what they call reincarnation?"
"Why is everything white? can't babies see?"
"This is a second chance, I wont let my past self down," burning with passion.
Somewhere nearby, a woman was sobbing. And then a deep, angry voice...
"Blind, he's blind. Yui..."
"You've cursed this family enough!" he shouted.
"No..." Cid thought. "No no no, what the hell is this? Who is blind?"
Cid burst out screams. Or tried to. Just a baby's cry, helpless and small.
"I won't have a blind heir. Take this child away. And execute this woman called his mother."
The room went dead silent.
"He's your son!" his mother's voice rang out.
"He's a disgrace," the man growled.
Cid was thinking so much about being blind, he didn't hear what his father said.
"I'm fucking blind!" he thought to himself. "No one would fuck a blind man" crying wholeheartly.
Footsteps. Crying. A woman(not his mother) picked him up gently and wrapped him in something soft.
"Why do i feel like i know this woman" Cid thought. "She feels awfully warm and has some huge tits,".
"Why is she crying?"
Cid was carried away. Meanwhile...
"You're really doing this?" Cid's mother asked. Her voice calm.
He didn't answer.
"She was blind and didn't even get a name before you threw her away."
Still nothing.
"And now this one," she said. "You couldn't even hold him."
The king Eiran clenched his fists. "They're cursed."
She laughed.
"No. You are. They are just different."
"They can't rule when blind, they will be eaten alive."
"They are babies Eiran, ours,"
"You don't get it. People wont follow weakness. They'll see the bloodline as broken."
"Fuck, admit you're just scared," she said. "You're just running."
That hit him. He clenched his jaw, but stayed quiet.
"I loved you," she said. Her voice cracked for the first time.
"...Even when you stopped holding me at night. Even when you looked at me like i was the enemy."
Eiran looked away.
"You could've saved me. You could've tried."
Still nothing.
The guards came in and grabbed her. As they dragged her outside, she looked at him one last time.
"Our children were blind," she said. "But you're the one who never saw anything."
He said nothing as they dragged her and executed her.
