[The World Of Sylvania]

[The Kingdom of Eldoria,Year 1334]

[Thornmere Adventure Guild, Thornmere]

A boy stood silently in front of the grand entrance of the Thornmere Adventure Guild. His messy black hair fell carelessly over his sharp, crimson eyes, casting shadows across his pale, almost ghost-like skin. Clad in a dark, layered outfit trimmed with crimson details, he looked like someone shaped by solitude and purpose. One hand tucked lazily into his coat pocket, the other adjusting the collar near his neck — he stood with a calm, unreadable demeanor, the kind of presence that made people instinctively take notice.

This was Kaelion Draven. And today, he turned eighteen.

The wind whispered across the cobbled street, carrying with it the scents of adventure, danger, and destiny. Kaelion took a long breath, letting the chill air settle into his lungs. He closed his eyes briefly.

"Finally... I'm eighteen. I can finally join the Adventurer's Guild," he thought.

It was a moment he had imagined countless times. Ever since he was a child, he had grown up listening to stories — wild tales of warriors battling monsters, mages exploring ancient ruins, rogue adventurers uncovering lost civilizations. But above all, there was one story that had etched itself deep into his heart.

The legend of Jorlen — the greatest adventurer in all of Sylvania.

Jorlen, who had traveled beyond the known world, slayed mythical beasts, and discovered unimaginable relics. It was said that over a century ago, he vanished after hiding his final treasure — a hoard so valuable and powerful that entire kingdoms had searched for it ever since, only to fail. That treasure had become a myth… a legend.

But Kaelion didn't believe it was just a legend. To him, it was a goal.

"I will find Jorlen's treasure... and I will become the greatest adventurer in Sylvania," he had vowed silently for years.

And now, standing in front of Thornmere Guild, that dream felt like it was finally beginning to bloom into reality.

He chose this guild not just for convenience — it was closest to his village — but because Thornmere was renowned. The city was known throughout Eldoria as a hub of adventure. Many high-ranking adventurers had started from here. If Kaelion was going to begin his journey anywhere, it had to be Thornmere.

His heart thudded with quiet excitement as he stepped forward and pushed open the heavy wooden doors.

The moment he entered, a wave of sound hit him — laughter, clinking mugs, the chatter of adventurers discussing quests and battle strategies. The air smelled of steel, sweat, and roasted meat. The guild hall was alive, buzzing with chaotic energy.

"Is the guild always this lively?" Kaelion wondered, his sharp eyes scanning the room.

He made his way through the crowded hall. Tables were filled with men and women in worn armor and travel gear, some boasting about their latest kill, others resting with mugs of ale in hand. It was loud, vibrant, chaotic — and Kaelion loved it.

He spotted the registration area, marked with a wooden sign that read "Reception – A4". Behind the desk stood a beautiful, mature woman with a warm smile that lit up her entire face. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity when she saw him approach.

"Well, well... and who might you be, handsome?" she asked playfully, a slight tilt to her head.

Kaelion froze for a moment, caught off guard. A soft flush crept across his pale cheeks.

"I-I'm here to register... as an adventurer," he replied with a shy smile, avoiding her gaze.

The woman chuckled softly, clearly amused. "I see. But you do know, adventuring is a dangerous job, right? People die out there. Are you sure about this?"

Her voice had a motherly warmth, full of concern — not the kind of formality you'd expect from a stranger. It was sincere. She didn't want to see a young man with such striking features meet a tragic end in some monster's lair.

Kaelion nodded confidently, his earlier nervousness melting away.

"I'm sure. I've trained for this. I'm strong," he said, giving a small, confident smile.

Seeing his resolve, the receptionist stopped teasing. She reached for a registration scroll and quill.

"All right then. Let's get you started," she said with a smile. "What's your name?"

"Kaelion Draven."

The moment she heard the name, the woman paused for half a second. A beautiful name, she thought. It suited him.

"That's a lovely name," she said, offering a compliment with a soft smile.

"Thank you," Kaelion replied quietly.

"How old are you?" she continued.

"I just turned eighteen this month."

"Do you have a weapon of choice?"

Kaelion gestured toward the sword sheathed at his waist. "I use a sword."

The receptionist's eyes flicked toward the weapon, then returned to his face. "Do you use magic?"

It was more of a formality — most swordsmen didn't use magic. And those who could often went down the path of battlemages or spellblades, a rare combination.

Kaelion hesitated briefly. "A little... I can use some fire magic," he replied, his tone uncertain, like he was hiding something.

The receptionist raised an eyebrow in mild surprise. A sword-user who could also wield magic? That was definitely worth noting.

It had been a long time since she had seen someone like him.

"I'll make a note of that," she said, her tone now more serious. She'd definitely mention him to her superior later.

She continued the registration, recording his details and stamping the official guild seal onto the parchment. Then, with a practiced hand, she handed him his official guild ID.

Kaelion took it carefully and looked down at the card:

[Adventurer Name: Kaelion Draven]

[Guild Rank: F-Rank (Novice)]

– Newly registered. Assigned to safe quests only.

[Assigned Guild Branch: Thornmere Guild Hall]

[Guild ID Code: #THR-DRK-F2371]

[Registered Date: Year 1334 of the Elden Calendar]

Kaelion stared at the ID in his hands. It felt unreal.

He wasn't dreaming. This was real. This was the beginning of everything.

He smiled quietly to himself.

"This is it. My first step toward becoming a legend..."

And with that, Kaelion Draven — the boy who dreamed of legends — took his first step into the world of adventurers. And deep in his heart, he whispered the vow that had carried him this far:

"I will find Jorlen's treasure. And I will become the greatest adventurer in all of Sylvania."
