Chapter 5 - Chapter 4 – The Road to Aethelred

That morning, the sun had barely risen, but House Zevarelis was already buzzing with activity.

In the grand hall, trunks of clothes, book boxes, and noble accessory cases were neatly arranged. Servants moved swiftly. Blue crystal spirits floated above, casting gentle light on the marble floors.

In the center of the bustle stood Alexa.

A snow-white gown with icy blue accents embraced her figure. Her silver hair was partially braided, and the family crest—a frozen rose—rested on her chest.

> Today… I set foot in Aethelred Academy.

The academy of the elite. A place where children of Dukes, Marquises, even the royal heirs were forged not just by study, but by social power.

> "Are you sure you'll be okay?" Leonhart stood by the gates, arms crossed. His smile was sweet, but his eyes held concern.

> "You can still cancel. I can arrange private tutors on par with the academy's professors," Ares added, standing by a magic chest containing her supplies.

Lucian said nothing. But his gaze was sharper than usual, as if reading every intention behind her movements.

> "I'll be fine," Alexa said softly but firmly.

"I won't just be a flower on display in this house. If I want to change my fate… I have to be where history is written."

Lucian finally spoke.

> "Don't hesitate to write me if anyone bothers you. Anyone. Even royalty."

> "Even the Crown Prince?" Alexa teased with a small smile.

Her three brothers turned sharply.

> "EVEN HIM," they said in unison.

Alexa chuckled. Then turned her gaze to the luxurious carriage of white and icy blue awaiting her.

> Aethelred awaits.

And I won't arrive as a girl who just wants to survive.

I'll own that stage. With my magic, my name, and my steps.

As the carriage wheels began to roll, a miniature crystal dragon floated beside her window—the family's guardian spirit. Its eyes glowed… as if saying: Show them who you are, Alexa.
