Synopsis
Arin's pov "Your world is about to change." A voice whispered to me. I turned around but everywhere was dark and I couldn't make anything or anyone out. "Who is there?" I called out into the darkness. "I'm a friend Arin, no need to be frightened." The soft voice called out to me. "What do you want with me?" I questioned, my senses on high alert as I could feel the person moving around me in circles. "I don't want anything from you. I'm here to help you." The woman revealed and my brows furrowed in confusion. "Help me?" I asked. Arin is an omega born into the Bloodfang Pack, a role she’s long accepted but never fully embraced. Growing up with her best friend Siena, who dreams of becoming Luna, Arin has always been overlooked and dismissed by those around her, especially the Alpha’s sons, the triplets Kael, Jaxon, and Rowan. However, on her 18th birthday, everything shifts when Arin learns that her mate bond has been forged with one of the triplets. The triplets, each with their own distinct personalities and goals, are drawn into a tangled web of competition, love, and duty. Arin’s bond shifts between them, causing tension and uncertainty within the Pack. But Arin’s journey takes an unexpected turn when she learns of her true heritage: she is the descendant of an ancient royal bloodline, and her powers are linked to the Moonwell, the Pack’s most sacred and powerful source of life. As the Moonwell begins to fade, Arin’s destiny is revealed. Only she can restore the Moonwell and save the Pack, but doing so means losing her mate bond forever. The battle for the Pack’s future escalates when a betrayal leads to a civil war, and one of the triplets sacrifices himself to protect Arin and restore balance. With the Pack’s survival hanging by a thread, Arin must face the harsh reality of her choices and what it means to lead.

Chapter 1 - The Birthday

Arin's pov

"Tomorrow is Siena's birthday." One of the omega's who were working beside me muttered. I listened as I wiped the dusty windows in the pack house. Tomorrow was also my birthday and I cracked a faint smile. No one cared or deemed it important to remember that little fact...no one deemed it important to remember me at all because I was merely an omega, an insignificant addition to the bloodfang pack.

"She'll definitely find her mate tomorrow." Another commented.

"Of course she'll be mated to one of the alpha's triplets." Another suggested.

"She'll be the next Luna of this pack, everyone knows that. She has the poise, grace and intelligence of a Luna." The first omega informed the other two omega's like they weren't privy to that piece of information already.

Everyone knew Siena had been practically raised for the Luna position. She was beauty, smart and charming...she was perfect. What more could an alpha possibly require in a Luna?

"I bet she'll be Kael's mate." One of the omega's announced.

"No, Kael's too serious and boring. She deserves someone sweet like Jaxon. Someone that will woo her and make her feel special." Another countered.

"You mean a playful flirt?" Another retorted and I had to hold back a snort. Jaxon was one among the alpha triplets and second in line for the alpha position. He had gained a notorious relationship as a flirt within the pack. It helped that he was devastatingly handsome and she wolf's willingly fell at his feet.

"I can't believe you guys aren't shipping Rowan and Siena right now." One of the omega's groaned.

"Rowan is calm and prefers to blend into the shadows while Siena is bold and confident." The omega explained.

The three omega's began arguing as they went about their chores and I shook my head in amusement.

Of course only someone like Siena would be fit to be a mate for any of the alpha triplets. It didn't matter though, I had grown accustomed to it...the disregard, being looked down on and over looked. It gave me a chance to live without the pressure of expectations weighing me down or moulding me like it had Siena. I knew I would never be able to mate someone as grand as the son of an alpha or next in line for the alpha position and I was okay with that, I had accepted my lot in life and my only wish was to find a mate that would love and cherish me, regardless of my station.

"You want to place bets on who her mate would be?" I heard the omega ask as I passed by them.

For omega's who hadn't found their mates, they sure were invested in figuring out who Siena's mate would be among the alpha triplets.

I walked up the stairs, my cleaning utensils in hand as I entered I to the second sitting room. There she was, Siena sat prettily and graciously among her friends.

Our eyes met as she laughed at whatever her friend said before she looked away. I ignored them as I walked towards the first window and began to clean.

"What would you do if it ends up being Jaxon though? How would you feel knowing your mate has slept with more than half of the female population in the pack?" I heard one of her friends ask.

"Come on, we all know Jaxon can't possibly be my mate. The moon goddess won't be that cruel to me." Siena joked.

"It definitely has to be Kael. Rumour has it that Alpha Vaughn will be choosing his heir soon and everyone has their hopes on Kael." Another person said.

"It doesn't really matter who my mate is or who becomes the heir to the alpha title." Siena shrugged but I could see the glint in her eyes as the gears turned in her head.

She wanted to be Luna even if she would never come out and say it. That was what she had been raised to be for crying out loud.

"Why does it smell like omega's in here?" One of her friends scrunched her nose in disgust but I ignored her, knowing she was just trying to goad me on.

"It seems she's also deaf to." The same wolf commented.

"I'm talking to you." She growled, aggravated at my lack of response and before I could comprehend what was happening she had me pinned against the window.

"You are at the bottom of the hierarchy mutt. When I speak to you, you'll feel privileged and you answer me." She sneered as her fingers crushed my windpipes. I clawed at her hands as I gasped for air.

"That's enough Cassie." Siena called out and the girl, Cassie, let go of me.

"She deserved it." Cassie shrugged as I clutched my neck and breathed deeply.

Siena stared at me wordlessly and it was at the tip of my lips to thank her but I remained silent. It would do her no good if she appeared to be acquainted to me and besides, that was how we had lived for the past twelve years of our lives...there was no point spoiling the dynamic now.

Siena and I had been childhood friends, I could almost call us besties. We were oblivious to the huge difference in our stations with her being the beta's daughter and me being an omega. We were inseparable until people started to notice the beta's daughter who hanged out with the low omega. As far as I knew, her parents were displeased with our friendship and being the golden child she was always brought up to be, she cut ties with me.

I didn't blame her...I couldn't blame her because it was a situation which was out of both our control. We began to understand how our worlds were polar opposites. She was made to lead while I was made to follow and like everyone else in the pack I was positively sure she would be the Luna of our pack.
