Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 – Typeless Terror: Safari Zone Showdown

There are two things you should never mess with in a Pokémon world:

The Safari Zone, because rules stop making sense there.

A Typeless Pokémon, because logic stops making sense there.

So naturally, SaveFile_Y combined both.

Welcome to the Broken Safari Zone

We arrived via debug teleport.

Or, more accurately, were force-loaded into a zone that smelled like Pikachu plushes left in the sun too long.

Location: Safari Zone – Canon Integrity CompromisedType Mechanics: OFFEncounter Rate: InfiniteTerrain: ???Danger Level: The Devs Said Don't Go Here

The grass shimmered like corrupted holograms. Poké Balls floated in midair, orbiting invisible axes. A Kangaskhan waddled by holding… a blender? It screamed like a fax machine.

Amber stared at the map.

"This isn't a Safari Zone. This is leftover code pretending to be one."

Karen hovered nearby, dressed in safari explorer gear made of pure aesthetic. "My vibes sense unspeakable lore."

Chadlax immediately got stuck in a looping "throw bait" animation.

Then the sky flickered.

And it arrived.

Typelessmon Descends

A wild Typelessmon appeared!Type: NoneLevel: YESKnown Moves:– Plot Hole– Data Drain– Deus Ex Machine Gun– [REDACTED]

It didn't have a form so much as an absence of one. Its body glitched between silhouettes: Lugia's wings, MissingNo's distortion, Mewtwo's glare, and a literal question mark with eyeballs.

I felt my UI crash.

ERROR: TYPE ADVANTAGE NOT FOUNDERROR: HP BAR REFUSES TO RENDERERROR: PLAYER EXISTENCE STABILITY: [85%… 64%… 43%…]

Midnight Daddy growled, stepping forward.

Then the impossible happened.

Typelessmon landed a hit on him.

Midnight Daddy Bleeds

Typelessmon used Data Drain! It's not very effective…

But it still HURT.

Midnight Daddy stumbled back, shadows glitching off him in jagged lines.

"HE'S… WOUNDED?!" I shouted. "That's ILLEGAL!"

Amber was already scrambling. "It bypasses type, status, ability, and even narrative protection! It's a Deconstructor Class Boss!"

Karen floated forward, eyes glowing white.

"It must be removed from canon."

Typelessmon screeched in multiple timelines.

"I EXIST BETWEEN LORES," it whispered directly into our brains.

Karen Unleashes the Patch Note Blade

Karen reached into her tote bag and pulled out a sword made of raw patch notes.

Item: Patch Note Blade (Dev-Only)Grants the ability to nerf, rework, or hotfix a being into irrelevance.

She pointed it at Typelessmon.

"Effective immediately," she intoned, "your ability to ignore balance is removed."

The blade glowed.

You applied: BALANCE PATCH v16.1.0Typelessmon's [REDACTED] was renamed to "Mild Inconvenience"Typelessmon's HP: NerfedTypelessmon's Ego: Bruised

It screamed again—but this time, weaker.

Midnight Daddy stood back up. Still bleeding… but smiling.

"You okay?" I asked.

He nodded once, then used Moonlight.

Full recovery. Naturally.

Blaze's Edgy Reboot

Blaze (the trenchcoat-wearing crossover protagonist) had been watching silently.

Now, he stepped forward, black flame swirling around him.

"I've seen monsters like this before," he said. "In my fanfic's unpublished spin-off. Time to go full overkill."

He pulled out a Z-Device fused with a Mega Bracelet, held it to the sky, and roared:

"DARKNEON MEGA-Z BLOOD BURST X MODE: ACTIVATE!!"

A Garchomp fused with Giratina exploded out of the ground behind him, roaring in seventeen directions at once.

Amber blinked. "That's not a legal moveset."

"Nope," I said, "but it's very on-brand."

They double-teamed Typelessmon, forcing it back into a story corner.

Final Move: Lore Lock

With Typelessmon weakened, I stepped up.

I opened my Save File Menu.

Scrolled to Developer Tools.

And hit the big red button:

Lore Lock

A beam of golden text shot from the sky.

"You have been permanently written into background myth," I said."No more plot relevance for you."

Typelessmon froze.

It was now…

A legend no one believed in.

The Pokédex updated:

"An ancient entity said to exist before types were invented. Some scholars argue it never existed at all."

Amber clapped. Karen dropped the mic (it bounced).

Blaze fist-bumped Midnight Daddy, who promptly ignored him.

Safari Zone: Reset

The broken Safari Zone began repairing itself.

Trees solidified. Kangaskhan put down their blenders. The sky remembered it was supposed to be blue.

We stood in the center of it all, surrounded by floating Poké Balls and discarded side quests.

Amber exhaled.

"Well, that was terrifying."

Karen shrugged. "I've had worse vibes in Gen V traffic."

Chadlax farted in his sleep.

Blaze sighed. "Guess I go back to my own corrupted dimension now."

"Can you?" I asked.

He looked up. "No clue. But I'm bringing this juice with me."

He walked into a portal shaped like a plot hole and vanished.

I turned to the team.

Amber was tinkering with the Save Menu, humming.

Karen was floating in a meditative loop, surrounded by developer patch notes.

Midnight Daddy stared into the distance, unblinking.

And I smiled.

"Let's keep going."
